They were tuned differently the first (and maybe second?) MY but they both push. Just the frs not so much.

They're identical for the 15.

I drove an FRS automatic for the first time since I got my BRZ, and it rode better with stock suspension than my car with HKS MK 3 GT suspension. So, I bought Darrendriven's set of FRS suspension he had for sale. Today I swapped the front HKS MK 3 GT struts for the stock FRS strut assembly, tophats, springs, and all. My car rides better than it ever has. How come nobody ever told me to get FRS suspension? I'm very disappointed in everyone, and I've got some suspension for sale. Check it out in the classified section.
Could you try Ohlins too? :-)

Not far off, though. The rear on the FRS is supposed to be softer, but I found the BRZ to ride very nice for a car that can handle hard cornering like it can and very well rounded.

Everything's a compromise.
It doesn't help the op but I've ordered new dampers with 9k/10k springs. It's my daily driver.

If you want a soft comfortable ride your best bet is a different car.

This is actually how i feel with my Subaru. I have the Cusco Zero 2 coilovers and for the first year thought it was cool and loved them but now regret the purchase everyday because it drives pretty bad haha....good luck getting a coffee in that car

It's why I'm not planning to touch the suspension on this car. People say it has a wheel gap...i don't really think so...it's already so low and looks good. Also when a car is lowered you lose a lot o the fun factor unless your on a race track.

Only thing i may consider in the future is TRD springs

I think we all feel like there is a ton of gap, but it's not too different from any other sports car that isn't purely track prepped.

That said...each of those cars looks more aggressive lowered.

You do mean 9k front, 10k rear right? Because the combination of hard front and soft back springs exaggerates the tiniest of pavement ripples, making the whole car pivot on it's center. In this respect, those stiff springs are probably better, since they won't rock at all over small bumps. When I mentioned bobble-head earlier, I really meant that the back and forth bobbing motion of a bobble-head is what my car does to me over small dips and bumps. I have the Delrin steering rack mount inserts and even with soft snow tires and soft front springs it doesn't drive vaque and squishy. I think those people who want stiffer springs in front should really get Delrin inserts first. They even conduct LESS vibration than stock. since the vibration is absorbed by the chassis.

I don't think that's how springs work

I read somewhere that ride quality is something like 70-80% rear springs and 20-30% front springs.

If you think about it, it seems to be true. When I hit a pothole, I cringe when the rear wheels hit.

Maybe the anti-reversion headers are creating such a huge anti-torque dip that you launch the car more than the factory and even aftermarket suspension is used to.. they never factored in the anti-reversion and MAF mystery combo in their R&D so makes sense to me
