TRD springs

Local dealer says Toyota has stopped sales of their lowering springs. Parts rep said sometimes this is due to finding a problem. Anyone hear about this as well?

I have them on and no problems. Also, rs1.0 comes with them too I think so that is strange.

Heed my words, my friend.

As someone who has crossed many different dealerships, many worldly parts centers. The parts rep is not a person whom should be trusted.

HMMMM..."Problem" does not necessary mean that there is an issue with the springs themselves but could be supply issues. The fact they are on back order would tend to support this.
It could explain a mystery I have as well.
I bought my car with what were supposed to be TRD springs already installed.
While they had my car on the hoist, when I had my snows put on, I looked underneath and realized the springs were black not red like TRDs should be and had RS*R stickers on them.
When I got home I pulled the box with the stock springs out of the exhaust box where (they had put them) and sure enough it turns out my TRD springs are in fact RS*R Superlows.
When I asked the dealership about it they told me that they just put on what was sent when they ordered the TRD springs through the central Toyota warehouse.

So, to get to the point, there may just be a problem with getting the original TRD springs from whoever actually makes them.

On a side note, the RS*Rs are really nice!

There's not a problem with ordering them, your dealer just doesn't know how to order them.

You're right, back ordered. Parts desk obviously not in the know.
