Look, if my Nissan buddies are stoked I'm getting a Subaru, then it seems pretty rediculous that another Subaru owner is going to try to pull some elitist crap on me.

I've made fun of Subarus for years. They were never fast to be a threat to anything I was driving and they sounded like they had a dead cylinder. I have always respected their rally work, though, and if I had the opportunity to race that way the Scoobys were the only thing on my radar even with the things I've said. Pull up next to me at a stoplight? It's your funeral. Try to follow you down a fire road hanging the tail at full throttle, no sir. I'd be a fool to try.

If some WRX guy wants to run his mouth and my lil BRZ can't shut him up We'll just call his big brother. He's AWD too and doesn't like mean old cars picking on his lil buddy.

I don't think it's anything to do with that lol

IN the first week of owning it I've come out to my car three times to people looking at it and talking about it. Then asking me about it.... Never had that with my rexxys even tho they were 400hp cars

i think the BRZ/FRS changed how sports cars are viewed again and in all honesty, changing the whole sports car industry again.

If any car deserves to be looked at in awe, it's these guys

The sales have not been what I thought, though. I was sure it would sell like hotcakes, but it doesn't appear to have. I think the people that are buying them were always waiting for such a car, not that they saw it and changed their minds. I know I was ready for years for a car like this so when I actually looked seriously at one it was a no-brainer. Car buyers seem to have changed a bit and I'm starting to wonder if real driving enthusiasts are a fading species.

but they have been still selling like hotcakes. At least from how I've seen it. I haven't seen a BRZ sit on a lot for longer than a couple weeks.

I used to think they weren't selling too, based on some articles I read, but if you read more they're exceeding expected sales numbers in pretty much every market. They're a big success for Toyobaru.

Also, this year people have been chewing through them. I've seen at least one a day in Los Angeles, and I see at least one new one a week. Two RS 1.0s as well.

On the other hand, only seen one new WRX. Why did they ditch the hatchback I think it looks like a shopping cart now.

I'm glad to hear it. I wouldn't want them to be punished for stepping up and trying to bring some fun back to the new car market.

Every community has its highs and lows.

I got nothing but attitude from th 86 community before I puchased one. Nearly turned me off of the car...

I've seen WRX and STI guys just not wave after I either flash them with my lights or just simply wave at them.

I have had an STI though rev right next to me to probably show that his was better, but I disagree.

STI owner being rood

I've waved at STIs owners and didn't receive a wave back, and I've waved at some and received a wave back. I honestly don't care one way or the other. I wave because I see a fellow car person.

I don't do it expecting a wave back.

I've been on this forum for a while now and before I got the brz I used to have my accord as my profile picture. I've only got attitude from one guy. Everyone else seemed pretty cool to me

Yeah. They sell well. Not as well as a civic or Camry but for a sports car they've been doing better than most
