The touch screen console needs a lot of work... The hands free is so bad it should have been left out completely. It takes 5 minutes just to have it call someone (and that assumes you don't have to repeat yourself).

Coming from an NA6 mx5 here - that VSC computer is driving me nuts!! Grrr. I would _love_ to be able to tune the ABS/VSC system. In fairness, it is kind of interesting in the wet.

And the weight, no need to add power for me, but I'd love to shed 100 or even 200kgs.

The complete base stereo system, but then its the first thing I've updated in every car I've ever bought. Seriously just a treble and bass adjustment and whats with those 3.5" rear speakers? My iPhone 5 mono speaker has more out put and better sound quality.

Head Unit backup camera UI

I suppose most people don't get to experience this, but a good example of poor UI.

I've installed a backup camera and attached it to the stock head unit. Happy with it except for this:

When you start the car and put it into reverse, the head unit starts to display messages along the top of the screen (transfer complete, etc) on the most important area to watch while backing up, and right at the time you need to be watching.

It isn't just text, it's text on top of a black bar running along the top of the screen.

Makes you wonder if anyone actually uses these things before they release them or if they just don't care.

The Rear window is always fogged up in cold weather no matter if im in full auto, auto, or any vent setting. Seems like you have to freeze or sweat your balls off to not have to constantly run the rear defrosters.

The constant dipping from 700rpm to 500rpm and complete lack of initial throttle response makes hillstarts a pain. (prob going to subaru for this)

and that the previous owner canceled his XM radio subsciption haha

other wise this car is always entertaining and a sheer beauty.

Are you out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty? If not, this should be covered by that.

Hi Diddily Ho Neighborino
Although a few people seem to have the fog issue it sounds like yours may be an extreme case. Since the car is used you may want to check (or have the dealer check) the AC drain to make sure it isn't plugged. My window fogs a bit but stays clear once the cabin reaches a comfortable temperature.

As far as the dip goes it is possible that the previous owner did not have the service bulletin work completed so ya take it in.
Not sure of BRZ bulletin but here is FRS http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1386706237

First 36 months/36,000 miles "basic warranty". If the locks are not working and you are in that timeframe it should be covered. if it doesn't work from the driver's side door panel, it sounds like you have a bad switch. Also, if its a programming issue it should be covered.

For example, I had them turn off the "beep" when you lock the car. They did that for free while I had it in for one of the intial service calls.

That is the one.
(And as petty as this sounds the common font here is Verdana- 2. Feel like I am reading a 1980's newspaper with your posts.)
