@Tcoat I haven't sold a car of this forum yet and I don't see it happening anytime in the future, As I said more of an enthusiast than a sales guy lol
But mike from red hill is one of the last few real scion guys, even though hes gone a little soft
But I do caution if the dealer doesn't have one instock don't waste to much time and end up missing out all together. the kid from scarborough was promised they would find him a car as well, and I don't know to many dealers wiling to give up a car that there is only 75 in the country. I see.. exactly what ive been doing watching how-to videos, it is a learning process when I first press the fr-s clutch in, it was so weird using my left foot lol

Was just kiddn' as it is not often we see more than one on a thread. If you knew my history on here you would get that I am one of the very small group that actually defends the dealers, understands they need to earn a living and know what "pure pricing" is actually about. I have posted the pure pricing explanatory materials so many time I keep a cut and paste version ready.
I know London's were both spoken for before they even got here and they turned them around so fast I never even got to look. The odds of my ever seeing one in person are now pretty remote as I have only seen 4 regular FRS in the wild since I got mine in July. They are pretty scarce in this area.

It is really easy once you get the hang of it. I have been driving manual for over 40 years and put no more thought into shifting then I do braking or steering. It now just sort of happens all on it's own.

OK so while driving down my ice covered, totally treacherous street this morning I had a horrible thought!
Are you going to drive this car in the winter????
You are not used to standard and I have to presume you have not driven RWD before (or at least not a lot) and this can be a bit of a concern.
Although there is certainly no reason why RWD cars are "worse" in the snow (people drove them for 100 years now) it does take some different driving skills and techniques then FWD.
I would strongly recommend that you contact one of the driving instruction places and get some formal training in how to drive a manual, RWD car in the snow and ice. Learning from videos and practice is ok in the summer but winter is a whole different experience. The good news is if you can drive these in the winter you can drive pretty much anything at any time!
Also... there has been no discussion on winter tires if/when you get it. These are a must have for any FRS with the weather conditions we have here. You will either wreck your car or worse if you try to drive with the stock tires in the snow.
Just some thoughts that you may not have considered.

P.S. if you get it I still want to see it even if I have to take a drive!!!!! As happy as I am with mine I still sometimes wish I had waited the few more months and got the Release.

TY for your concern tcoat but I do not plan to drive this baby yellow during the winter, it will be garaged! I got approved and now im trying to look for car insurance for delivery this upcoming Monday, living in the area I am the insurance price is stupid high this is also due to my age. I would love 2 show you my RS fr-s , but I don't wana drive it if they are dumping salt on the roads, up here we only have flurries right now and the roads are still black, when I do pick up my car I wouldn't mind setting up a date to met up with you if the roads here are clear tho! Oh and just as quick question, did you get toyota's rust proofing? Im not getting any protection on my other then the factory warranty.

No, I did not get the rust proofing as there are better/cheaper options. Won't be really a factor for you if not driving in the winter.
Headed up that way in a week or so. Will PM once I have a better idea of date.

lol ohh, as for me i woulda choose white but the RS 1.0 is only in yuzu yellow, If i couldn't get my hands on a RS 1.0 I would go for the base halo(white) fr-s easily without a second guess, I love the way the car looks in white. And kk hopefully we can meet up this year

I can give you some pointers on the MT and you can see how a gently lowered FRS handles in case you want to go with the lowering springs.

A good portion of my frs customers this is their first manual transmission car, Its probably the easiest car to learn on you'll do fine. As for rust protection I always believe in some sort of protection but that lies highly on what kind of product it is some could be more harmful for your vehicle
