on the subject of upgrades...a certain little birdie said this....
“Yes, there are multiple C38 JRSC cars running around, and also multiple high boost cars. Every single one of these cars are heavily tracked cars. It is only available by calling CSG or Jackson Racing directly. It is not publicly available through every JR dealer because it is a highly application specific product. You *CANNOT* properly utilize a C38 unless you have a built engine. You need to be pushing more CFM and boost with a C38 than a C30 can at peak, to actually be getting any more flow or power with the C38. Anyone running a C38 at 12 psi or lower, quite frankly, is using the wrong supercharger. The problem is, if you're running 12+ psi, you need to be running either race gas or E85. Most people will opt for E85. This means output will be north of 325 torque and 400 horsepower. 325 torque is where the stock transmission's failure point is, and you already need to have a clutch to even get to that torque level. Guess what fails? The trans. At this point, the cheapest aftermarket transmission option is 18k. The C38 JRSC has been around since day 1. It is not released because it is not the right product for 99% of the general public. JR is not in the business of selling the wrong product to people, and nor is CSG. The price for the C38 and C30 are the same from Rotrex. Next, the high boost pulley. This is also available, and has been from day 1. The reason the 110mm pulley was chosen for the stock kit, is that a LOT of tuners like to tune for higher redlines. For some reason, the general public thinks this is safe (it's not), so the pulley was sized to max out the blower near 8000 RPM, so that the supercharger is less likely to be overspun by a third party tuner. The 100mm pulley takes the supercharger to max at about 7350 RPM. The 110mm pulley also happens to high the limitation of CA 91 right as you hit the stock redline. Obviously, the other parts are not part of the CARB kit, and if you do get a ref ticket, you'll need to have the stock pulley on (they measure it), but you will pass with a CARB tune and cats on. A pulley swap is a 10 minute job, at most.” |

Depending on the tune and quality of gas, anywhere from 15-20 would be my guess at peak. Keep in mind that a C30 on a smaller pulley gets questionable above 7000rpm, however; at least on 91 octane. Sincerely, Zach Delicious Tuning |

Hey David, are the RaceRom features such as auto blip, map switching and advanced traction control included with the carb tune?
Thanks. Pat |
