Yeah it definitely seemed like they are starting to rush it. I haven't read the manga would like to though, its still on going isn't it?

Yeah I'd say so, gets pretty interesting around episode 4ish or so(not saying the beginning sucks or anything). At first I was like WTF kind of weird show is this at first glance, and then I got curious and just watched it and its actually pretty good. Aldnoah Zero is also worth watching second season is supposed to be beginning of next year.

Ruroni Kenshin live action was awesome! Was damn hard to find the offical bluray though. Can't wait for pt.2

If you can find the manga the manga expanded quite nicely on the rest of what happens.
