If you had 10yrs experience in AutoX, then you wouldn't make such a statement. AutoX is 90% driver and 10% car. A veteran of AutoX would know this.

I am a veteran, and did make the statement. Even most veterans can't make a 2-1 downshift worthwile. But if you don't, the power isn't there.

he gt86 posted a 1:46:081 with stock tires and a 1:43:439 with race tires thats a 2.642 seconds difference from tires alone, thats pretty impressive if you ask me
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...300#post202300

So, those stock tires are quite slow, but car itself is very competitive!

Interesting, drawing a conclusion without ever driven the car. But whatever floats your boat.

Who in their right mind is gonna purchase a V6 Mustang? Come on fellows this is a snow job by the media to drive interest for the BRZ. But we all know the real Mustang is the GT and its main purpose is a so called muscle car. Mainly for the street (light to light) and freeway challenges. Its not a fair comparison even with the so called track package. How many Mustang owners track their car? None! Its all straights for the majority. And that brings up another issue for the BRZ crowd. Please track your car and not make it a daily commuter or some stop and go traffic econo gas saver! It was purpose built for the track! And there its many strengths and enjoyment will be had. Stay away from the boulevards and freeway challenges. Just my two cents.

Pillock. You're obviously clever enough to sign up to an interweb forum (or get someone to do it for you). Either you or them should do some googling and see how full o'shite you are

I'll make it easy and distill this down to the simplest measure:

My spec.B is 3500lbs
My STI is 3300lbs
MY swapped and striped WRX is under 3000lbs.

The mustang is 3500lbs. I don't want another big car. See? Easy.

New mustang out for 2015 has better rear suspension

This might make things interesting...

http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...d-mustang.html

But I still prefer the looks of the FR-S/BRZ.

They'd have to cut down the Mustang's size, height, and weight significantly for me to consider it over the BRZ. I actually don't think it's possible to create a chassis small enough to be a BRZ competitor, while keeping it large enough to accomodate the 5.0L V8 in the GT models. Still, this is a step in the right direction for the Mustang IMO.

You son of a bitch. You're supposed to give people a heads up before you post things like this, I didn't bring a change of pants with me today.
