Well.....It's hard to tell the difference if any by these photographs. I'd have to be there in person to see the cars side by side.

My only beef with Subaru is that their paint and clear coat are so soft. The front end of my FR-S (Ultramarine) has so many little dings and chips that it just pisses me off. My old 1998 Camaro Z28 (now sold) had by far less dings and chips even after 5 years driving it year round.

It's not just Subaru. Paint in general for the last decade has been weak sauce I think due to being environmentally friendly. I find glass got softer too compare to the 90's. Don't even get me started on the factory rust proofing compare to how it was generously applied back in the day.

Having seen a new WRX in the new WRB, not so sure I like the new one anymore.

From what I've gathered, the original 02C color was not a simple two stage paint, if anything, the new paint looks like it's 2 stage as it lacks the highlight effects that are signature for a "candy" paint.

I'll be seeing a 2015 BRZ in person soon. Have a bad feeling I'll be hunting hard for a 2014 WRB that's still new...

02C > 07X

I prefer the older blue BRZ, it seems just a bit brighter.

Switchlanez, did you order the rear windscreen louvers directly from your local Toyota dealership?

Do you have a build thread for your car?

Great work! This is the best colour IMHO for the either of the twins and it really shows off those all red tail lights!

hello, just talked about this issue with my paint guy, and he said that the 02c is 3 stage and the 2015 new 07x is two stage requiring a base blue sealer then color and clear..... the 02c wrb he sid is a 3 stage with 7 variances for lethanol paint that they are using.

I like the new wrb, it seems a bit more refined IMO. But maybe I'm partial...

this new color is sick. I never knew it changed. I have not seen a new BRZ in blue, none exist around here. sick color!!

I have a calibrated monitor with high color accuracy, as well as being into art. The new color is more fascinating, big modern step, more mature in ways. Old was very nice but this has intrigue
