If you recognize your car, just know that you're safe from door dings for a week at least on one side.

Question

So, what mods (performance and cosmetic) are you guys planning over the winter? Another carbon lip Ken?

I'm thinking
  • Air-oil cooler (I had them DIY OEM cooler last summer - while fint for the street, it didn't keep the temps down at the track as much as I hoped it would
  • Driveway Labs T2 rear diffuser and FT86SpeedFactory front lip (would like to not have to lift for T1 at Calabogie)
  • DIY red out or Tom's tail lights
  • Header (ceramic coated or wrapped)
  • Baffled oil pan
  • Maybe a lightweight battery?

Planning on doing a water-oil cooler for sure. Haven't decided which of the plumbing options (throttle body, Cusco-like, Forester) to to with yet.

I will also probably do an OFH. There is a place in town that does ceramic coating (RLD) if it isn't too outrageous, I'll probably get it ceramic coated.

Edit: Forgot that I will also be adding the Perrin steering rack bushings.

Outside chance I will do some suspension stuff as well.

@normancw - lol I already have my spare front lip no plans for a different one

So my plans are :

D2S HID retrofit to replace the crappy winjet setup
Custom ram-air intake scoop to feed the stock opening into the Takeda intake
Install my Hella Supertone horns
Change back to stock turn lenses with led switchback and tint film
Install my Clarion NX501 2-DIN HU with nav/DVD
Get a pair if those trunk mounted fitted sub enclosures for my Alpine 8" subs and add my JL Audio 300/4 amp
Install my Viper alarm
Investigate f/r swaybars and proper adjustable end links (Cusco/Whiteline/?)
New rubber (@slick) - seems the Falken 512's don't like my lowering setup
Install my APC GT3 carbon fiber mirrors

Whew! I bet I don't get all of that done but all the front end stuff is my main goal since the bumper is off and hanging on the wall of the garage already lol

-"Diffuser" to hide my trailer hitch. Want to make something that goes into the receiver.
-Better seat that I can keep in the car for road use without getting a sore back, current one is not comfortable at all (ergo wise, not hitting bumps wise)
-License plate / Camera mount up front
-Save up for rims n tires for next year's lapping season

Already picked up my first mod(s) for next summer, just need to get them mounted at Slick's place. Also planning on OFT tune/header and hopefully I'll stop there, but probably not.
