11/22 Triad meet

Had a great time hanging out with everyone yesterday!

As I was uploading these pics I realized I didn't get a group shot of us
we will have to rectify next time.

Here we are at the 66 Diner in k-vegas

And latter on at Hanging Rock

These cars still turn a lot of heads, even more so in a group.

We had some good food, I know I learned a lil bit. I'm interested in doing something like this at least monthly, if not more often. Let me know what you think, Ill be attempting to make a Facebook page shortly.

Big thanks again to everyone who came out.

I was pleasantly surprised with how it all turned out. Everyone got along really well, and the cruise went really well(except for one focus trying to slow things down.

I whole-heartedly agree!

Unfortunately it is a good tool for getting some new ppl into the mix though. I will probably do most planning and chit chat here, And double post the concrete stuff over there.

I'll also start up a triad thread soon as to not saturate this one.

Good news for those of us who enjoy driving the Tail of the Dragon - beginning in January, Tennessee has banned trucks longer than 30' from using the road. Hopefully it's enforced.

Quote:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee is banning trucks longer than 30 feet from using a twisty stretch of U.S. Route 129 known as The Dragon.

The truck ban is welcome news to motorcyclists and sports car enthusiasts who flock to the mountain road famous for its 318 curves in 11 miles running along the western edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Ron Johnson is the owner of the Tail of the Dragon gift store near Robbinsville, North Carolina. He calls the decision by the Tennessee Department of Transportation long overdue.

Johnson says tractor-trailers pulling through tight turns can block both lanes of traffic and force cars and motorcycles off the road. While trucks have been banned from the North Carolina side for a few years, Tennessee resisted the change until now.
