Wish I could have thanked him.
I remember last year during one of the snow storms we had in December (I think?) I was going from one party to another. Was going northbound on Bayview just north of Pottery road, and traffic was rammed. Problem was, we were moving 4-5 km/h on an decently steep uphill, and it wasn't straight. For most of the drive up from Pottery road to Nesbitt, I was sideways across both lanes, not because I felt like drifting, but because traffic wasn't moving fast enough for me to have enough speed to keep the car straight. People behind me were giving me 2-3 car lengths and both lanes.

Had I not had snow tires, I would have probably not even made it out that night ahahha

^ happened to a buddy of mine in his wrb brz going eastbound up 16th avenue approaching warden - except he was able to stick to his lane, and nobody gave him extra space lol. there was a pickup truck in the fast lane and it seems like he totally ignored the fact that the car next to him was inching up the hill sideways

Oh yeah, that's completely understandable. Still, with a light grip, you can react faster.
'Our finest' tried to bait me into speeding/racing while I was heading up Leslie near York Mills. Accelerated up, tailgated me, then pulled alongside (but didn't pass).
Luckily it's kinda hard to miss the big "POLICE" taped on the front of those new Explorers. Especially when the guy accelerates up and follows about 3 feet from my rear bumper.

I was going the speed limit so I just smiled and went onto the 401 (where the Metro police don't pull people over)

They do that not to bait you, but to sit behind you while they run your plates through C.P.I.C. looking for warrants etc.
When they come up dry, they pass looking for another victim.

Spin your go pro around, then in front when they pass. The division number is on the car, go there see the on duty S/Sgt., show him the video and demand the cop be charged with follow to close, (3 points !).

If you are lucky, the S/SGT. will try to cover for the cop, then you can see a J.P., lay a private information charging the cop, then go to internal affairs and charge the S/SGT. under the Police Act Of Ontario with neglect of duty and conduct unbecoming.

Today at around 6-7pm at Mavis and Ratburn and then at Mavis and central parkway.

White FRS going south on Mavis, a white brz at the lights and a silver brz in the right lane eventually turning on dundas... All three spotting in let then a minute. Lol

I was the blue brz with the toms.

I am using a set of michelin Xi3s.

Was the weather particularly bad tonight? Will my stability improve once the roads up here get some more salt? Thoughts?

Would turning sport mode on help with traction?
Try putting a bag or two of cement in your trunk. It'll help weigh you down and you won't fish tail and slide so much. I was new last year and i helped a lot.

As for sport mode, it'll allow you to spin the tires more to help correct with the throttle, but be warned that if you gas it to much you'll spin out of control. Its up to you, but I usually drive in sport mode in heavier snow.
