You beg to differ that the twins are not the popular car for STX, and that its not the "Car to have" for STX? So are you saying the twins ARE the car to have in STX? Just trying to clarify and make sure we are not saying the same thing. Because I know an e36 is competitive, in STX (at the moment) I don't feel any car will make up for driving skill. Like X driver wins STX in a Twin but not an RX8. I think X driver would podium or win in either car.

[QUOTE=dwx;2030867]Looks like STX got the biggest bump in PAX this year. Relative to AM the increase was .006 where all other classes other than SMF, FM, and FSP went down.

Hey guys, I've been looking into getting some MCS Coils for quite awhile (just the MCS TT1's, nothing too crazy) as I plan on competing at the national level soon. With all the different coilover options out there, would it be more cost effective to go with a KW v3 instead? I believe they would both be single adjustable, but I'm trying to find the best coilover setup (including top hats) in the $2000-3000 range. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

V3's are double adjustable and IMO better option than the MCS singles. Better yet, the Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 2 Clubsport's. Same design and price as the V3's, but better valving for autocross. Last edited by toeout; 11-22-2014 at 11:29 AM. |

So how can justify classing one there but not the other? Personally i wish the SCCA would class AWD cars differently for Pro's. |

I wonder what data drove the STX pax hit. I don't recall many people complaining that STX pax was too soft, (like SMF).

The change is most likely a matter of performance and finishing times relative to the other classes.

I know that the Oil Cooler allowance was sent to BOD, but when will the decision be published?

Any semi-serious STX folks out there that have tried the RS-R coilovers (Sports-I or CR)? These intrigue me and I'm wondering how they stack up with the KW/RCE offerings out there that are similarly priced.
