I traded a 2007 Solstice GXP that ran 13.2 @ 105. This car is much slower. No Drop top either. But I like it more...

I'm moving from a Lotus Elise to a BRZ. Some would say it's a step down in status, but others would say it's a step up in practicality. Others will point out it loses out on handling but it gains a lot more refinement. For me it's sideways step and a clock reset - a stock car with loads of potential ripe for modifying, it's fresh & something new.
I also have been leasing a BMW every 4 years so the BRZ will definitely be a 'toy' car. |

Traded in a 2013 GTI. I regret losing so much utility a lot, yet I enjoy kicking the tail out whenever it rains.... Still dont think it was worth to trade the hatch. WIll probably go back to a GTI or a Golf R in a year or 2

I knew every single nut and bolt on her. I was quite proud of driving the most impeccably maintained shitbox my friends and coworkers have ever seen.
Jaws dropped everywhere when after 14 years they saw me roll up in the twin. |

Traded up from 2004 Civic.
I've always had my eye on the car, Saw a a deal I couldn't pass up. In black too. Not one regret.

The only thing I could attribute it to was the limestone dust that turned very caustic when it got wet. Was ok in the long run as the guy that bought it turned it into a phenomenal drag car (about 600 horse last I heard) and I still get to visit it every once in a while.

Selling my 340hp 07 white sti. Wife and friends say I'm trading a family friendly torque monster for an impractical tiny slow car. Almost everyone was against it save for me and a small handful of my work friends. I still love it and driving the sti to test drives and such reaffirms my decision to keep the brz. To get the same amount of fun in the brz @ 45mph, im flying through the canyon at 90mph. Oh and 16mpg can kiss my ass I dont care if gas is going down!

Yep! In the biggest way possible. Timing belt slipped and embedded almost everything it could into the head. Worst noise ever! Great part was that even then it still ran long enough to get me the three more blocks I needed to get home, albeit really slowly. Replaced belt and the damaged parts, threw a new head on it and went another 100K miles without a mechanical issue.

Besides, it didn't make much more power with a good timing belt.
