- A kid in a riced out civic behind me almost rear-ended me while trying to take a picture of my car.

- Two middle school kids were walking on the sidewalk while I was in traffic. One of them did a double take looking at my car, and tapped his friend on the shoulder, pointed and said, "dude look, it's a Ferrari!"

- I pulled up to a stop light next to an Aston Martin V12 Vantage drowning in a pool of my own drool. The guy looks over, gives me a thumbs up, and says "nice car". I just about died of happiness.

- I was driving through a parking lot when I saw a group of 6 20ish year old asian guys with their girlfriends. They were all standing around a couple Mercs and two E92 M3's. As I drove by they all stopped mid conversation to stare at my car and take pictures. An E92 M3 is one of my dream cars, so I did the same with their cars. It was a pretty good day...

And of course countless double takes, thumbs up, and random compliments. Just another reason to love this car.

Some dude asked me if it was a twin turbo GTR today. Right out of the blue - "Hey man is that a twin turbo GTR?"

Was asked by both my wife and kids if a toy racetrack at Costco had the FR-S and I had to correct them that it was actually a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. I guess the scale deceived them.

My 6 year old grandson proudly presented me with a Hot Wheels of my car.
It was a Porsche 911!

Had my first this morning and it was hilarious. I currently live at a condo complex and park in a lot outside (moving to a place with a garage in January - can't wait!) and as I'm headed out to my car this morning to leave for work, and older gentleman came up to me and started asking me a few questions about the BRZ.

Since our cars are rather uncommon, I was happy to oblige the usual: Yes, it has 200hp, no it's only RWD, weighs 2700ish pounds, flat four, not a flat six, no turbo, etc. He started talking about old Subarus and how he liked the SVX and its flat six. Then he proceeds to tell me about his GMC Envoy Denali, how it has 490hp (looked it up and it has 290 from the LM4 5.3L V8) and will smoke my car. I just smile and nod and let him keep talking. Said he bought it from Rick Hendrick and it was his personal courtesy car. Then he tells me about how Michael Jordan flew past him on the highway in a Carolina blue Range Rover and that he couldn't keep up and told me that as fast as he normally drives, it only takes him one hour to travel from Greensboro to Charlotte (about a 90 minute drive).

After that, he started talking about NASCAR and how his grandfather was a moonshiner that had a few drivers, one of which was Junior Johnson. Talked about all the cars that they used and how the local cops and law enforcement were always paid off so that the only guys they had to look out for were the Feds.

At this point I was starting to get late for work, so I told him I needed to run, and he asked me if I would do a burnout in the parking lot as I left, lol.

Interesting start to the day to say the least.

Pretty sure that same guy lives in every city I have ever been in! The names and stories may change a bit but always head in the same direction.
Though, I travel a lot for work and it seems the further south you go the taller the tales get!

The other day as I am waiting to turn left onto my street - a white STi with yellow DRLs is coming from the opposite direction, flashes high beams then proceeds to give me a thumbs up as he passes. I respond the same way...Subaru mutual respect!

Got pulled over on Saturday for speeding. The trooper says "This is a Subaru, they are fast cars, huh?" I was like "..yyeaa a little bit..." I didn't want to say, "No, actually this one is pretty slow" and sound like a smartass. He again said "These Subaru's are fast" He was cool though, I had a PBA card which he didn't take, and he just gave a warning. 85 in 65

Stopped at Goodyear today to have them loosen up my lugs that they over-tightened with 18-wheeler torque specs so I could swap on my winter wheels. Mechanic says "Nice car, is it quick?", I said no it's more of a drivers car, RWD N\A. He says "I thought all Subarus were turbo and AWD". He said the car looks awesome.
