Got my stuff Friday, looks great.

Can't wait to throw it on with my Kraftwerks C38 kit and see what it sounds like and how it drives...

Anyone else using OEM overpipe with the JDL header? Not sure, but it sounds like I have a leak when the car is cold, which is disappointing because I used brand new OEM gaskets.

This is most certainly not an issue with the header, the OEM overpipe is TINY in comparison and I wasn't sure the OEM gasket would seal but tried it anyway. The JDL flanges are all perfectly flat and nice and thick.

I'd grab a new 2.5 inch overpipe for $125: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ISIS-Perform...785e48&vxp=mtr

or $89: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scion-FRS-Su...0bd964&vxp=mtr

or $75: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-2015-Sc...6be878&vxp=mtr

and a Grimmspeed Gasket set:http://www.grimmspeed.com/grimmspeed...st-gasket-set/

OEM gaskets suck. I've blown out the oem gaskets multiple times. Grimmspeed are thicker and multi layer steel. They are well worth the extra dough.

Using the stock Overpipe with the header def creates a weird sound but it will seal.

It sounds fantastic when warm, but definitely sounds like it's leaking when cold. Driving next to walls with the passenger window down sounds quite hissy. Also threw a CEL while driving out to lunch so I guess I have to disable the secondary O2 CEL.

Thanks for the input guys! Ian, thanks for the confirmation about the gaskets. I'll have to look for reviews of those ebay pipes...

I have the UEL with a 2.5" Motiv overpipe. I've had the cold sound you're describing and IME it's just the sound they make. I've had on the aluminum sheet gaskets that came with the Motiv pipe, stock gaskets, Grimmspeed gaskets and finally Remflex gaskets. The sound remained with all of them.

If there is no condensation water sputtering or leaking out between the mating surfaces ( mine were till I used Remflex ) at the cold start, then there is no leak.

I almost forgot about this little nugget. Is there any information you would care to share?
