What does a car do when its Roll Center is higher than its Center of gravity? Cause that looks like what the front suspension is doing. Will it roll into corners instead of out?

Edit:

Or are the arms' paths/angles diverging?

Weirdness...

Yea it rolls into the turn if the roll center is higher than the center of mass. I am not sure that this is necessarily the case for that setup though, I don't have an intuitive idea of where the roll center goes since I haven't bothered thinking about it.

By the way, I just found out that the laws for rear taillamps is incredibly lax...they're allowed to be at a minimum height of just 15" off the ground!!! WTF? I wonder why no manufacturer has taken advantage of this to drop the tail (and improve aero), and then relied on a 3rd higher mounted brake light for safety.

Sorta draw lines that project the control arms into space to where they intetsect. Then draw a line from the tire to the intersection. Where that line crosses the center of the car is ~ the RC (it moves as suspension does).

Don't know what to do if the arms diverge though... usually they converge and point more down.

Parallel arms (not sure if they have to be equal and horizontal too) put the RC on the ground.

Watched "Divorce Of Nader And Simin" yesterday, the best movie I've seen in the last few months. Recommended.

I just watched my 9 month old take his first step. Nothing beats watching that. I watched his older brother take his first as well.

Because the anti-socialists would burn them in the streets today.

I agree 100% with what he's saying. My conditions growing up weren't much better then what he's describing. But what he's describing goes against the american dream of, if I just work hard enough I can do/be anything. And going against that is at an all time low in the US despite the fact that the class separation is growing and it's getting less and less possible transcend the class structure as time passes.

And as I agree with you i feel like this,
Quote:
american dream of, if I just work hard enough I can do/be anything.
is more like this
Quote:
if I just struggle long enough I can do/be anything
. Because, its ike he said, most people are born into a dynasty but for some of us who dont have that we carry the burden of having to start one and i see it as a tougher situation NOW than it was 10 or more years ago. But i totally get your response.
