Welcome aboard! Is the color Asphalt/DGM - if you prefer the BRZ Limited rear spoiler, I might want to swap you

We can't seem to get any meetups going.

But if you are ever looking for someone to drive around with, hit me up.

It would be fun to exchange some back roads since there aren't too many fun ones near by.

Yea it is asphalt. But I like the duckbill style spoiler. So until I can get me one of them I'll probably keep it the way it is, sorry.

Yea defently. It does seem like the meets are always in Charlotte or Raleigh tho. But there are a few of us triad guys around here now. I'd just take it to Hanes mall after hours and tear up the parking lot

I was wondering if you guys have been through a winter here with these yet and if do I need to be humping it to get some winter tires asap or do you think I can make it on the original tires. I work third shit and my dad's said he let me use his 4x4 to get to work if the weathers bad but I'm not trying to put him out like that.

I've been reading up on snow tires myself recently.

The breaking point seems to be about 45F; if you are consistently colder, they are a must. We don't usually stay that cold, but the one to two days it snows bucket loads you'll want em ; ;

First RWD winter for me, hope I don't regret my decision(not getting snows).

And as for Hanes mall, that's too public! I know some quieter places.

I was in Buffalo NY for 5 years. That place gets good amount snow more than the half of a year(late October to early May). I was driving Eclipse GTS FF with performance tires without problems. Based on my experience , I can say that your driving skill is more important than other variables. Last year was my first year in Fayetteville, NC. I saw a lot of 4x4 trucks that was stuck in ditch.

Priority

1. Safe distance (I see a lots of tailgating in NC even with snow!)
2. Speed (25 to 35 mph max on snow)
3. Proper braking (4x4 will not help you to stop on snow or ice)
4. Snow tire
5. 4x4 helps lunch on snow

A Cat litter bag in your trunk some times saves your time and money.

I also used to drive around in a V6 Eclipse, that car was badass in the snow.

But yeah, around here, not driving like an idiot will give the most benefit.

....as for #5, now I cant wait to make some snow cream.

We should plan up a drive for sometime - the car keeps begging me to be driven spiritedly on a road that isn't going to or from work .

I'm also not planning on driving it at all if/when the snow flies, so I'll be sticking with the Primacy's through winter.

Just looking at my phone, it looks like it's supposed to rain Sunday when it's a bit warmer out. Saturday and Tuesday look like decent days to go for a drive.

I'm free all day sat and should free late afternoon Tuesday.

Could stand to maybe get some food and some of the other locals come out and join us!

Snowed twice on me in Raleigh. I live at the bottom of hill. My car stayed parked or I borrowed my dads truck. Snow isn't that hard to deal with it. We almost always get a layer of ice at night on top of the snow which isn't worth even trying to drive on.

I could probably do something Saturday around lunchtime. Just would need to be back in GSO before 5pm.
