Stop using ethanol fuels and try to get 94 octane. I heard from a few places, this will solve it.

E0 has some success, but its not universal. Also not the easiest to get everywhere. 94 octane won't fix it if there is ethanol in it.

Its cold again here and my crickets have gone into hibernation again.

It might. There's a Chevron station about 2 hours from my home where they sell 93 octane E10. I fuel up there whenever I'm over there, because the crickets go away when I do.

Ethanol is irrelevant.

I figured it out.

We need to get the crickets so drunk so that they stop chirping, but not drunk enough to cause them to become loud and obnoxious. Makes sense that pure corn juice does it. Also makes sense that pure petrol stops them from singing because they're sad, but E10 petrol only makes them rowdy and chirp more.

Solution

Pour about half a fifth of your favorite bargain market gin or vodka into the gas tank every fillup.

You'll thank me in a couple weeks when the crickets drink themselves to death

I said this probably 15 pages ago or so, but there is likely no fix, we're probably looking at the new normal for cars that use HPFPs....until someone makes a noiseless one.
