Yeah I agree. There is always a need to put it on paper if your dealing with any type of business deal. You'll have nothing to hold up against their word and you would've just wasted your time with them if they do decide to go back on their word last minute. Overall, having it on paper just gives more peace of mind. Anyways, I do hope that dealership follows through!

Timmons is shady and downright rude. I was looking into buying an STi last year and had been going back an forth with one of their sales guys, long story short they don't know how to reply to emails cause they replied to the wrong email address and instead of talk amongst themselves they emailed me talking shit about me. Also they were trying to mark up the STi like mad.

Hey everyone, new here from Oregon. I would like to add information regarding two dealerships I have recently spoke with and visited, both have mark ups!

Gresham Subaru "guaranteed no more than $1000.00 above MSRP" mark up. $500.00 down.

Lithia Subaru in Oregon City told me $3500.00 over invoice or aprox $1000.00 above MSRP mark up. These guys want $1000.00 down

For anyone in the PDX area wanting to view a BRZ in person, Lithia Subaru currently has a crystal black silica Limited version sitting in their service center, I just had to stop by to check it out because I missed the car show.

Went to Las Vegas Subaru today just to try and score a brochure. They referred me to the BRZ specialist. He knew a little about the car at least, but told me the pricing wasn't finalized from Subaru...??? It's been final for at least a month now. He told me the big selling point was that the car had 151 lb-ft of torque at 6k. Maybe it's just me, but I don't believe that to be the big selling point.

He said that everyone got mad about the $2500 markup so they've stopped it. May have also had something to do with the fact that of their 21 cars, they've only pre sold 5 when nearly the entire country is sold out! Instead of the $2500 flat markup, there's now a mandatory $2100 options package that includes 1) super blinking rear taillights for safety 2) tinted windows 3) 24K, 2 year warranty ??? and 4) free oil changes for life at their stealership.

I was able to get a BRZ mini-brochure and check out SWP in person on some Legacys--beautiful color.

That's funny lol. About time they removed that crazy markup. I still won't deal with them though. That $2100 package is not worth it's value and the end price will still be around 30K+ with all the taxes and whatnot included. I've spoken to almost all the Scion dealerships here and not one of them are doing markups or requiring dealer packages to be included. This is a "dealer package" after all and isn't really related to Subaru. Plus, I don't know if I would want to have my oil changed, for life, at their place lol.

Thanks for the update on their situation though.

By any chance, does Subaru like to "add" accessories to their cars without the buyers approval? That's what my dealer is telling me, since they still don't know how much the car is going to be until they get the invoice for it.

No. I've ordered a couple of Subarus and I've never received anything on them except what I ordered. Sounds like they want I add something themselves...

I guess when you push the brake pedal the brake lights flash fast four times, then light up solid. The salesman was sure this increased safety. Sounds sort of annoying to me, but who knows. maybe it really is a good idea, ask anyone who buys a BRZ from Las Vegas Subaru because they'll all have it and according to him there is no wiggle room.

Hmm, maybe it's a dealer option then, because my Sister has a new tC and her brake light blinks 3-4 times and then stays on...

It must be. I own a new tC and it does not do that.
