When will it come?

My dealer in Alabama (Birmingham Subaru ) was allocated only 1 BRZ thru the end of 2012. I placed my order for their one allocated BRZ on April 9th (SWP, Premium, manual). I dealt with the General Manager of the store, and he's been great to work with. When we placed the order, he called SOA and was told we could expect the car late May/early June. I receved a VON and a signed retail sale contract, evidencing the order, price, refundable deposit, etc. As of today, no VIN and no updated ETA.
Considering that (1) I'm #1 (of one) at my dealership and (2) my order was not placed until April 9th, I'd appreciate your opinion as to when I can reasonably expect to get the car.

It's tough to say. The current crop of allotments run through November. Since your dealership has such a small allotment, SoA will probably work it in after they get their higher producing dealerships covered with their initial shipment. If I were to make a guess, I'd say somewhere in the middle. Maybe July. But that is just a guess.

Mother of god man, no one knows anything. Its posted ALL OVER THIS FORUM. Can we all just take a chill pill and just let the damn thing come.

I hate to come off as a ****, but I can't believe people are too dense to figure out that we don't know anything.

Thanks Ranatsu for your considered and well thought out response to my inquiry. It has certainly helped me in planning the time frame to convert certain capital assets to cash to pay for and take delivery of the BRZ. It is absurd for you to say that nobody in this forum knows anything about SoA's allocation and delivery plan for the BRZ . In any event you certainly are correct about one thing in your response: You are indeed an asshole.

And I thought I was being nice. Good luck in your quest to find nothing out because you can't use the fucking search button.

He had a question about his specific situation and asked our opinion about when he may expect to see his BRZ.

No need to be so unbelievably hostile...

Based on my 2012 Impreza preorder, I would go by this and expect the car around June. There's always the possibility of delays, but unless the middle of June passes without a call from the dealer, or a reason for a delay, my advice is just to go by what you were told.

As of today, no VIN and no updated ETA.
The sheet from my dealer with my Impreza VIN shows the schedule date around when the first people nearest the ports started reporting deliveries. Since no one in any region has reported actual BRZ purchases, it would fit with the Impreza rollout that a sold order in the initial shipment could still lack a VIN. I'm sure your dealer will want to make a sale, so they'll call whenever the car is going to be at the dealership, and personally I had more than enough time to take care of things like insurance and money before I could take delivery.
