There is no way to avoid the destination charge.

If you are 20 years old and you think you can't afford the BRZ because of the extra $750 (or $770), then you shouldn't be buying the car to begin with.

Don't bury yourself in debt on this car. I know it's been hyped a lot, but it most definitely isn't worth it if you're missing payments or something down the line...

Damned straight! If he can't afford the destination charge, then he probably can't afford insurance. If he can't afford insurance, and get's hit... what now?

Life is too short to be a slave to inanimate objects.

For OP, take the advice of others. Never buy a car that puts you on the edge financially. Don't let short term thinking get in the way of long term success.

Yeah, don't ruin your credit history just to have a car. If you really want it, wait until someone sells it. They plan on making the BRZ better every few years so someone will definitely sell it for the newer model.

The only way to AVOID destination charge is to buy a USED vehicle,
but in the OPs case it'll probably be the better option to wait it out
for another year or two till a STI verison comes out and he/she
can grab a slightly used BRZ for LESS.
