New Shots at Gulf State Toyota

I just called my dealer and was informed it would be next week before they receive my car from Gulf States Toyota. He said it has not "dropped" into their system yet. He said since they were the furthest dealership in this region it just takes longer.

I know this isn't the best picture but I was sort of moving fast. It didn't look as if they were very pleased with me taking pictures of the cars through the fence. A couple of guys came out to see what I was up to. When I drove back past (it's a dead end street) they had two cars parked between them and the street presumably to block the view!

Got the call from my dealership yesterday. Mine will be here Thursday! There's going to be an "unveiling" of the car at 7pm that night on the showroom floor. I can pick it up Friday morning!!!

OK, disregard that. Now I received and email telling me that the event has been pushed back until Tuesday, May 15th! All my dealer said was that Toyota has postponed it. How is it that Pekingduck gets his a week ago and we're still waiting another week?

That's really cool! How did you find that? The only thing that concerns me is that he keeps referring to "Thursday". I was originally supposed to get it last Thursday but was pushed back until tomorrow (May 15th). Maybe they've had it at the dealership for a while and didn't tell me. I was actually there last Thursday getting my oil changed. I went and talked to someone I know at the dealership and the person I've been dealing with since the beginning of the program. They acted like they didn't know anything. If they've been keeping it secret all this time, they've done a really good job!!!

Just got home from the dealership. I now own a Scion FR-S! BUT, I don't get to bring it home until after the unveiling tomorrow night. Sounds like it will be pretty cool. I also got to see it as it was hidden away in a garage that the dealership uses to photograph their cars. I'm really glad I stuck with the Asphalt color. It looks really nice. It's going to be a long day at work tomorrow waiting for the unveiling!!!

I live in Houston...I googled "Houston FR-S" to find local info and came across that on YouTube.

That dealership also has a Twitter account and another online chat board that updated the info you now have(being delayed).

When the video was made you "were" going to get it a couple days later, then they changed the date and posted that info on their respective web boards.
