Yep
My wife is ummmm.....ahhhhh....ohhhh let's say "stout" and refuses outright to ride in my car (lowered). Once she is down there getting her back out is quite the show.
Now, my 78 year old mother is a very different story and finds all sorts of excuses why I need to take her someplace!

My wife is 4'11" and never complained of being too low to see. Getting in and out isn't that graceful though. She tolerates it, but, I'm not lowered.

She does, however, think the seat is too low..which is odd since she never complained about my lowered Miata in the years I've had her and that car. Pregnant women just like to complain about that stuff I guess
i think the real issue getting in the car from the point of view of a pregnant woman or older person (i'm not either) is that the rocker panel is wide meaning there is a big distance from the seat to the actual outside of the car.

miata is lower but the seat is further to outside of the car

haha some of these responses are pure gold. I ended up tinkering with one this evening and ended up picking up a black 2013 with 25k on the odo. Its got some kind of exhaust (salesman said its probably stock from scion) and aftermarket pulleys (no idea). Hopefully the gf will sit in this one. She really hated the MX-5. Then again, she hates softtops as well. thanks everyone for the input! I think she'll be able to reach across the center console from the passenger seat

i'm 5'2'' and have to have the driver seat raised all the way up or i can't see as well........so i guess i have long legs and short torso? compared to the other shorties here that don't raise the seat and can still see over the dash?

i do wish the passenger seat could be raised as sometimes i feel (look) like a kid sitting in there

i'm the shorty in the pictures with my 5'7'' towering husband lol

oh yeah....this thread reminds me of years ago when we had an old altima......the seats didn't raise, and i could barely see anything out of the car..........had to sit on couple of pillows so i wouldn't be driving blindly

god that car sucked

and this summer i drove a 430 and the seat didn't go up......it was the funniest thing ever.....my neck hurt after 5 minutes of driving it

My wife is "almost" 5'1" and while she can't see any of the hood, she can see out of the front and sides without any issue.
