I would have done it, as this was the ad I was eyeballing, and the owner said I had first crack at it, but had close to 130K miles.

Oh wow, he raised the price by $1000, I was locked in at 15K lol
engine bay looks really clean, but I can spot some wear in the interior though...

The mileage made me cringe a little bit however your right the engine bay looks damn good. If you do decide to go through with it im sure you can talk him down a grand or 2

I think I might have to pass up my BRZ because I'm trying to get my hands on this baby as long as it doesn't exceed a certain price I'm willing to pay:

Nope another car did not lure me away from a FR-S/BRZ. I went and got a new motorcycle. Victory Crossroads. I'll kick the new car can down the road probable a year or two. Until then I have an awesome new motorcycle to ride.

Wow, it's an actual place. I thought it was a fake auction at first when I saw that.

Sounds like a place a 12 year old would tell another he was from.

It's an old and obscure family name.

Since I first learned about FRS in December, 2011, I have caved in to Veloster (Feb, 2012) and then to a Miata (April, 2012). I hope FRS feels like a roofed Miata. That would be so fun.

Having just driven BOTH within the past 3 weeks, i Can definitely say that you won't be disappointed. I drove the AP2 S2000 recently too. I wouldn't compare the FRS to that as much, just because i find the s2000 has a little more aggressive, almost nervous, driving character. The FR-S is definitely more miata than S2000.

Think i will give up my first 86 spot up...I will eventually buy it in a couple of years. Got a 2 year old and another one on the way. The only vehicle we have right now is my X-Runner. Wife is thinking 2013 CX-5.

Sucks when life gets in the way. I was in that same spot (but it was 23 years ago). 1985 MK1 MR2 with 200K "every mile a smile" on it died. One kid, one on the way. Practicality required replacement with a family vehicle.

It's a fair trade.

I agree. It'll be a bit selfish for me to get the FR-S before we get a CUV or a family vehicle. Either way, it's not the end, i'll pick up the FR-S in a couple of years.
Dadhawk; I see your delivery date is 5/15? Is that confirmed? Did you get in contact with Ms. Karen?
