Surprised by the assumption that the FRS would handle better, honestly. The suspension is very, very similar on the two cars. After all, the FRS is really just built on an impreza platform. The rear is multi-link from the impreza, and the front is macpherson struts, just like the 240sx. I'm sure the FRS has a more rigid chassis and lower COG, but other than that, fully built with quality suspension, they should handle about the same... the S14 possibly feeling even more agile due to having a shorter wheelbase...

Pretty much what I said though, yes the FRS is newer and has a better chassis and sharper handling stock vs stock, but modify both cars and you can improve the handling greatly on both, and because they have very similar suspensions, they can be made to handle very similarly, although the S-chassis has a shorter wheelbase (s14 has the longest out of them, but it's still shorter than the FRS).

You can buy an S13 or S14 for peanuts now though, while the FRS is going to cost you $20K minimum.

I'm positive if you put the same amount of work/time/money etc into the FRS, it will be just as satisfying! I look forward to your build thread!

Worst decision ever.

S15 is 10x better than an FRS.

Would never choose a 86 over a S15! When i think about it, the S15 is the only 4 cylinder car that i ever considered buying.

Needs moar Evo and S2000.

I'd take a highly modified Evo over a GTR. Seriously.

Haha yeah i didn't, just couldn't live with the econobox looks of the Evo! Only remotely good looking Evo is the V and VI but it still doesn't come close to a BCNR33 or BNR32 (34 is way too expensive).

Thats an S14.5 which is a S14 with a S15 front end swap.

I think both cars would compliment each other if you were lucky enough to have both but 10x better!? Idk about that. They suffer from the "unicorn theory" in the states. They aren't available which makes them more desirable when they are really nothing special. Throw a T28 on a Kouki S14 and enjoy for much less.

Steering feel is slightly better on the S15, and its chassis is a little bit stiffer... + it's a little more agile due to a slightly shortened wheelbase.

But you're right, it's not that big of a deal. Definitely not anywhere near worth the money you'd have to pay to obtain one when perfectly good S13s and S14s are available. The S14 is already significantly stiffer than the S13 and shares the same suspension and subframe/track width as the S15. The FRS and S14/S15 are extremely similar cars... and not by coincidence.
