Yep, I got it recently and I like it but I am running a level 28 Titan. It's not always my go to for running PvE stuff, but if I'm going against the Vex I find it useful for when thos pesky minotaurs charge you, especially since it does Void damage.

At least he didn't start charging things to your account! My GFs son has been home all week sick (he's 8) and the other day while I was at work I checked my bank account and there was two charges on my Xbox Live account for Minecraft. I text my GF saying "you need to see what your kid is doing on my account". No response for 45 minutes then another charge appears on my bank account. I'm like "GO CHECK ON HIM NOW!!!!!" she comes back with "I did and he said he didn't do anything". So now I'm like "crap, I've been hacked". So I spend the next hour on the phone with MS. Removed my CC from my account, changed passwords, everything. In the end, it was him. He was like "it didn't ask me to pay with anything". I was like "yeah, because my CC is on file with them but it did ask you to confirm your puchase before you 'bought' it". So long story short, don't leave your CC assigned to your account. MS actually offered to refund me the money but I chose not to because I'd have to leave it on the account until the refund went into my account. The service rep also recommended that when it comes time to renew my membership, to buy a prepaid membership card from a retailer and then just enter the code when I renew.

I bought it, but mostly because I don't have a legendary/exotic sniper and I prefer snipers as my secondary (most of the time). I still really want Ice Breaker.

Ok, and I'm jumping the gun way far ahead on this and going completely off topic on this thread, but if this is your girlfriend and it's her kid then he could be your step son someday. If you give a crap about this kid at all, get him a bunch of books and start reading a couple of them with him every single day. It sounds like he just needs someone to sit down with him and read. Even if I have a million other things to do, or he's being sent to bed early as punishment, or any other excuse, I read with my son every night. He's four and absolutely loves to read, and I attribute that to how often his mother and I read to him.

Scarily so. I made my kid a sub account and he knows not to touch Destiny, but he'll play Need for Speed, Trials, and Octodad. Terribly, mind you, but he still enjoys it. And he figured out how to unlock our phones and launch apps shortly after he turned tree.

My internal struggle is that I already have an Icebreaker and 3 legendary snipers in all 3 elements (Final Boss, Epitaph & Praedyth's Revenge).

P&T would be sweet but then I wouldn't be able to buy something I might need more next week. Except next week it'll probably be something I already have again.

Can't you guys set passwords on your systems or PSN/XBL IDs?

What about creating a separate PSN/XBL account for the kid? That way they'll feel cool and leave your shit alone.

If you want to use an XBL account on two Xboxes then you have to use the one password to sign in on each. You can make different GT for the different people who are using the account, but you can't physically divide the account into seperate sections. It's a real PITA in many ways, especially when you have a small kid wanting to play online or on the Xbox.

Another issue I ran into, if he wants to use his Xbox and I want to use mine concurrently, he has to sign in first and get into his game (he also has to play offline). If I get on first and am playing online when he fires up his Xbox, it will boot me offline and out of my game. It's some sort of MS protection issue to prevent people purchasing one account and then sharing their account/password with other people.

I even asked my GFs brother as he has a couple of 360s and a two children who play on their multiple Xboxes. He ended up buying seperate accounts for each Xbox/player because of this issue.

I've offered to pay for half of the yearly membership for my GFs kid if he saves up the $30. So far that hasn't happened and we're still juggling 2 Xboxes on one account.

It's really not a big deal as I haven't been in a hurry. I haven't even done the PvP stuff in over a week. I figured maybe I can knock out both my exotic bounties at the same time. Still working on the first half of the Bad Juju bounty. Once I open up the PvP half of the bounty, then I'll probably focus some of my time on trying to complete both bounties. For now, not really in a rush, easpecially since I've finally started to amass some legendary weapons for my character. I've got 2 legendary primaries, 2 legendary and 1 exotic secondary and 2 legendary heavies. I figured that will hold me over till I get the exotic bounties completed.

That's currently what I'm doing now. I've started a Hunter and will most likely create a Warlock soon. Funny thing is, at first I was kind of "meh, do I really want to have to run a bunch of stories/strikes etc. with a new character all over again"? Then when I started working on my Hunter the other day, I found out a really enjoyed it as I missed things the first time with the "story" such as Rasputin being some form of AI/computer system from the past. I know someone asked the question recently as to who he was. Also, it was funny to realize that the first time I started playing this game I thought the stories/strikes were hard. The second go around I was like "this is a breeze, is this all you got"?
