funny, I traded my 04 g35 coupe sport package for the brz, the only thing I miss from the g35 is the engine.

I bought a G35 Coupe new back in 2004 and loved the car. I've had many cars since, but it was an awesome ride. Would love to find a mint one to add back to the collection.

Your previous FRS would have felt like a different animal had you added some forced induction...

I had 03 G35 track edition before my BRZ. i missed the power and torque also braking power. however, i didn't like it for felt heavy and also had to replace the transmission to CD009. IMO, the car has to driven fast to be fun, BRZ is fun at every second.

Poor mans car is a RC Toy car

I've done R/C for many years, and there is nothing cheap about that hobby either!!

haha true. I just couldn't think of another example. I know some of the legit ones cost over $1000 with the mods and work put into them

Having owned both a '03 G35 coupe and M3 (both E46 and E92), I can't see where you can make a connection between a G and a M car. The driving experience in the G doesn't even come remotely close.

Ha! I made the opposite transition, I went from an 05 g with sport to the brz. If your looking at lightening it up cf doors will take a decent amount of weight off. Man i remember on a hill shoving that vault door open only to have it come back down on my shin when i wasn't looking. ouch. I will say that the exhaust note of the VQ35 will have a special place in my heart, I absolutely loved the sound.

Yea the doors feel "solid" to say the least. I think I will just do the lowest hanging fruit (cheap/easy). She is already 80lb lighter and will loose another 100lb by next summer. Will probably call it quits at that point. Pretty surprised at how cheap parts are for these cars, most of them cheaper than FRS. Which is good because consumables sure as hell wont be with an extra 700lb...

After the suspension work, this inferior, barge of truck technology should be able to keep the "firebreathing, open-wheel inspired, better than an F40" E46 M3 in sight hopefully for at least a 1/4 of a lap.
