My turn signal went out . And there's no bulbs around. I got my baby back though. Should I replace the turn signals with leds?

I'm torn with this car. I love the way it looks and handles, but can't stand the problems and weaknesses related to the engine. I'm constantly back and forth between keeping it and selling it. I have three options:

1) Part out, sell it, and complete the Lexus. Hold on to the remaining money and roll that into another weekend car next winter
2) Keep it, toss the Vortech kit on (again) with basic mods (again) and enjoy it until the engine blows (again)
3) Keep it, sell the Vortech kit, toss on the PTuning header, maybe E85, tune, and 4.55 gears

My plan up until two months ago was to swap motors, but that would demolish any resale the car may have and I want to retain the ability to easily go back to stock and sell when the time comes. I usually only keep cars for a short time, so big upgrades are out of the question.

I've been having similar thoughts, except I cannot articulate why I'd want to keep a 944 over an FRS.

What it comes down to (in my experience) is that heavily modified cars don't usually make great daily drivers for various reasons. So that leaves you with having a cheap/reliable vehicle and your project car.

Couldn't agree with you more. It's taken me a LONG while to figure this out on my own.

I definitely agree with you there, which is why I have a daily (the Lexus). There's some stuff I want to do to it, but nothing that would make it a pain in the ass to drive daily. The FRS was never supposed to be a daily, but last winter was unfortunately forced into that role when I couldn't find a replacement for my old Acura (I got the Lexus in March).
