Having driven with these for a few days, they are fantastic (pretty much everyone has raved about them).
Shifting takes a tad more effort, but feels much more precise.
Cold temps make it a bit harder to get in gear.

After this, I'm contemplating not installing my TRD quickshifter... Feels great as-is, and I'm concerned that cold temps will be even more difficult with the TRD.

At the event, my instructor was an older British gent who just bought a 2014 FR-S.
He remarked that the throws were shorter (possibly due to my Lathewerks shift knob though) and with much more positive feel.

I'm debating buying a Cusco pedal cover for the throttle. I'm tired of just missing the edge of the pedal while heel-toe downshifting. Either that or I need shoes with less "meat" at the heel so I can fit my foot further to the right...

This weekend I did some vinyl on the tag area of my trunk lid. Pretty straight forward.

I pulled off all the emblems and the trim piece with the tag lights in it (whatever you call that bit) and completely wrapped it. Then I laid out my line in Knifeless tape (which, by the way, is FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC) and applied the vinyl to the trunk. The last thing I did was reassemble everything and stick the emblems back on.

For anyone who might want to do this my only suggestion is make sure you prep the surface really well and, if possible, do it in a garage or at least where there isn't much dust in the air. I washed the area (with Dawn to remove any wax) then clayed to make sure I got the cleanest surface I could before I laid down the vinyl. I still wound up with a tiny wrinkle near the trim piece (and a few behind it because I was getting lazy and they would be covered anyway) and a couple pieces of something (I think from cutting the backing from the vinyl) under the vinyl that left little bumps, but they are hardly noticeable.


I think I'm going to do the little bit of the bumper that's peeking out behind the trunk lid, as well, just to make it blend better.

Gave her a bath yesterday afternoon because a bird shit on my car (purple shit from berries, FFFFUUUUUUUU).

Once I got home I was going to quick detail her, but noticed that the dealer was hasty to remove the protective vinyl, and quick wash. Either there is still residue from the vinyl coverings, or they let the car sit out on the lot without detailing it, becuause there are waterspots/stains and overall roughness that are HIGHLY upsetting.

This weekend I plan to do a serious detail. Two bucket, Clay, Rubbing Compound if necessary, polish, protectant, wax.

Got RA flaps today! Didn't have time until night and it's cold.. so I only did the fronts tonight.

I am completely against mudflaps.. but I think they look awesome with the spacers! Just wanna keep rocks and salt from chipping the fenders.




Will get better pics when it's all done. Very easy to install.
