Holy shit, my only flyby was from a Kia Forte. I was so surprised I didn't even know how to react to it.

Yeah I don't even waste my time with those guys. They're just a waste of space really, and they drive like idiots.

It's like, ok man, you drive a KIA.
Not much more to say other than that.

One of the worst things I see from time to time is when people see you and then start dipping a diving in and out of traffic as if you are supposed to chase them or something. The worst part is that it is usually some ass-hat in a Altima/Camry or some other everyday commuter car.

I also forgot to mention, and I shit you not, but I've had TWO smartcars challenge me to a race. Yes. SMARTCAR.

My car is pretty loud, so I don't doubt that it may sound aggressive, but both these times I passed the little car (not even trying to be fast or aggressive), they floor it and catch up to me and then cut me off. I'm just in utter disbelief every time this happens. It's hilarious!

It's so adorable. I always want to give them a big when they pass me. It's like, "good for you little guy! good for youuu!".

This is exactly what happened to me, except it's a Hayabusa. I was just cruising at normal speed, not driving aggressive or anything at all. He showed up to my right, revved at me and sped off. He turned around a few times to check if I'll try to catch up. Never took the bait. I caught up to him before my exit so I tried to make him run again for fun. Lol

Some great poetic justice on this one though.
Was sitting at a light on Friday and a last gen Eclipse pulls up beside me. He looks over and starts to rev the living crap out of it.
The light changes, he pops the clutch at what must have been close to redline and immediately torque steers right into the curb!
I slowly drove away, took a brief trip around the block and went past from the other direction.
He was still there with an almost horizontal wheel and a rapidly spreading puddle of fluids under the car!

Was gonna honk and wave but it is a small city and my car stands out too much to take the chance on retaliation.

So just how often do you get to update a "come race me bro" encounter?
Went to a local burger joint for lunch and who should pull in beside me but Mr. Eclipse himself!
This guy is massive and about half my age (glad I had restraint and didn't honk and wave after his crash)
I think "oh shit this may not be pretty".
He walks over sticks his hand out and introduces himself.
Turns out he was a really nice guy (thank god).
He also confirmed something I have always wondered about regarding some of what we think must be "race me" encounters.
He said when he was revving he wasn't challenging me he just liked the sound of my exhaust at idle and wanted to hear it revved a bit.
When he took off he was just trying to get ahead of me to see the front of the car.
He had no idea what the car was much less how fast or slow it was and just wanted a better look.
Told him probably better to just roll down the window and gesture next time as I would have been happy to pull over and chat.
I was correct in my assumption that he torque steered and the error cost him $1200 in repairs.
So, I guess the moral of the story is even though a lot of the flybys and tail huggers are certainly just assholes many may be simply curious.
We know so much about the car that we seem to think everybody else does and that just isn't reality.

for clarification, not hating on the pizza guy for driving a prius, he's just trying to make a quick buck, but if you drive a prius and act like a hot shot f_Ck you. I have seriously given thought about making my license plate something to offend a prius owner
very true. im sure some prius drivers care about the environment etc etc, but im sure many just like it cause $30 for a fillup. I drive a lexus ct200h (prius-based lexus) along with my sequoia and it helps justify (jk not really) owning a huge v8 suv that does 13mpg. Although driving the ct200h just provide comic relief, you can just floor it from a stand still and its almost funny how slow it is. I once got torque steer from it (dont ask me how idk)

Yep, plus tranny seal, assorted linkages, and rim. He didn't say, but I got the impression he did most of the work himself so it was pretty much just parts he paid for.
Oh, and a $240 bill from the city for cleaning up the fluid spill.
