So I had an interesting experience with the pedal dance this weekend. It seems the pedal dance does nothing to help prevent the ABS system from freaking out occasionally. 2 out of the 3 times I dropped my outside wheels off in turn 2 of NJMP Thunderbolt I ABS light to come on and that seemed to turn off ABS completely and shove all the bias to the fronts. As you can see in the video, that made it very difficult to slow down in time.

I don't remember the pedal feeling any different. Steering felt non-existant due to the lock-up.

Okay. I was looking to see if pad knockback might have been going on, and it doesn't sound like it.

I'll be curious to see where this goes because I've been relying upon post 226 on this page as a firm guide to whether or not ABS will be operating as intended when the pedal dance is in effect: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...=25494&page=11

It's quite possible that what happened to me was just a case of me kicking up a bunch of dirt, temporarily messing with the wheel speed sensors and throwing, but if that's the case I don't see anything like that in my wheel speed data. I only see a lot of inside wheel spin (clutch type LSD is planned for next year) in that turn:

{Green=Front Left, Brown=Front Right, Blue=Rear Left, Orange=Rear Right}

Turn 2 is right around the 1500ft mark and then you can see the fronts lock up going into turn 5 around 4100ft

Seems like a complete loss of front traction, which got exacerbated by you trying to turn without front grip...

You did spike to over 1000psi on the brakes that caused the traction loss to begin with, followed by some brake pulses.

The giveaway to me is that your steering wheel is turned, and the car is not turning, and there is zero weight transfer going on.

Just want to throw it out there that pedal dance does not work for automatics and also holding down traction control is extremely dangerous and should never be used in rain or on city streets.

Eh, I wouldn't really call it dangerous as long as you're driving like you should be on city streets anyway.
It takes some effort/negligence to lose traction on the street.

With traction control we end up with a generation of incompetent pu55ies afraid of their own shadows.
