No wax (or paint sealant) is a good wax for winter prep/protection

no wax but give u car a blanket while u park or put car in..

winter time imma gonna just wash my car at gas station every 3 days if im driving out keep car bottom clean as best i can... i remeber my friend park his car all winter in his G. Then next spring comes he try start his car but not working , after send to fix, they find out all wires and shit bited by mouse. becareful mouse if any u stock cars in the house!

If your house has mice, you have bigger problems.
Don't forget to unplug the battery, over inflate, cover your exhaust and have the air on recirculation.

Some will argue that all that stuff is not necessary though. So I guess YMMV

Either I'm just an idiot or people have lead me on.
My insurance told me if I wanted to store the car I need a letter from the leasing company to be allowed to remove the road coverage.
Just got off the phone with Toyota and the woman told me they don't allow this.
This is going a while back now but Im pretty sure my salesman told me I would be able to store the vehicle as well.

Long story short the car will be costing me more money in storage than not lol

Is it just your insurance company or Subaru Financing that does this?

Winter storing mine isn't an issue for two reasons, 1) I bought the car outright 2) it is stored in my garage in my house.

I have a friend with a leased/financed car that he stores at another friend's house/garage, but I'm sure he/they haven't told either ins. co. the car is where it is. I can see where that could get really messy if the storage place burns to the ground or the roof caves in on the stored vehicle.

I think you'll have to pay your dues if you want the luxury of storing a vehicle off-site.

I wonder if one of our other BRZ owners, planning on storing his, has considered this - I think their car is still under a lease and will be stored 3hrs away.

This is an interesting topic that I would have thought has been discussed to death on here already.

Most of us do not lease, I think you, me and Paul are the only ones?
i drive mine all year so I have never asked about cost to store.
that being said, you CAN store it, just not saving anything on insurance
