Black is the hottest looking colour but also the highest maintenance. Nice contrast with the interior/red shoulders.

Red is a good compromise. My'15 WRX is Firestorm.

White seems to be the most common and also the hardest to touch up if there are chips or scratches. It does also look good though.

Just go look at the cars in person if possible. That's when youl make up your mind. I see pictures of firestorm frs's on here and don't care for them....but when I see one on the streets driving...God damn they look good!!

When you buy your FRS be sure to get black, they're the fastest ones!

I originally wanted white, but I got the Firestorm red and I can't be happier. Something about that color really flatters the sportiness and gives it that roadster kind of look.

Don't make the wrong decision like this guy did. (Skip to 2:15 for the relevant part, or watch the whole thing!)

My vote is on FiReStorm by the way.

Get Lava or Red if you want aggressive AND to show off the lines... but unfortunately Lava isn't a good orange and my opinion is it is the only not great color on the 86.

The big thing about the Lava is lighting levels as the colour can vary massively depending on the sun.
Can look almost gold, and I think "spectacular" to 1984 K car brown then I go "oh my god why this colour".
It is pretty cool when the sun hits it at just the right angle that almost every body panel is a slightly different colour and you really see the lines!
I have talked to literally 100s of people about my car (it attracts attention) and almost every one of them has said "I love the colour". Not once has anybody said "would look better in black/white/silver/etc".

I chose red because it signifies sportscar IMO. Black seems to be the common color for large German luxury cars ... Not small lithe sportscars.

White would have been my 2nd option. White looks the cleanest and shows the most contrast with the black trim. My issue with white is that EVERY car now seems to be white. EVerything. Trucks, jeeps, vans, small cars, large cars. Everything! White is the new silver. Too common IMO.

Black is the best at showing the sweeping lines on the front fascia next to the grille, as well as the fenders. It also brings out the rear taillights better.

However, black also hides the lowers trapezoidal grille especially in the dark. It also brings out the tackiness of the chrome headlights, to an extent of course.

Red brings out the lower grille better, but you lose the emphasis of the sweeping lines.

White does a good job at bringing attention to the front grille and the rear end due to contrast. The curved surfaces do a good job in bringing out the Pearl lust of Halo.
