@53Driver and I cheesed Atheon in VoG last night with the help of 2 Warlocks.


My loot:
9 Ascendant Energy
3 Ascendant Shards
Atheon's Epilogue (Auto Rifle)
Praedyth's Revenge (Sniper Rifle)
Chatterwhite (Shader)

Overall I'd say it was a good haul and I finally got enough XP to finish leveling my new armor set!

I'm up for tonight, and if tomorrow will be bad for most people then I still have all day Sunday.

I will comb the thread to se if there are any ps4 people I haven't added yet that are high enough level to to vog.

Thats not quite how it works. You can run the raid on normal and get lewts and then run the hard and get more lewts. OR you can just run the hardmode first and get double lewts.


Last night I was solo'ing the nightfall, but my gf showed up so my gaming night was cut short. The bright side was I was doing something much more entertaining

And yeah.. Girlfriend. I know how that is. Jenga night can get preeeeeeetty entertaining what with that toppling tower.

You COULD make the argument the beginning of VoG is Jenga. Trying to keep the Spire up from toppling over. Might be a valid point to bring up to the lady friend.

Yep, @MokSpeed and I definitely cheesed Aetheon. The whole affair from start to finish ended up taking almost 3 hours though. Funny how it all came about. I started last night doing a random strike. Finished that, had just went to the Cosmodrome for some farming when one of the guys on the clan I had sent a request to join invited me to his fireteam. So I accepted and went into orbit where I joined up with him. He asks me if I am down to do VoG tonight and I'm like "heck yeah but just know I haven't done it and have no clue what I'm doing". He's like "no biggie, hold on and I'll call some of the clan and we can run it tonight". He gets 3 other guys to join up and we're struggling to find a 6th and all of a sudden Mokspeed shows up in the group. I'm like "hey, I know that guy...I didn't know he was in your clan" (I'm thinking, wow what small world) and the guy who had first invited me was like "you know him?" and I'm like yeah he's on the same car forum as me". He's "sweet, lets roll".

Then the first 30 minutes were a mess, I had no idea what I was doing, died a bunch, we were trying to get the team organized so we could get into the VoG, finally got in and then it got better from there. The enemy wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but yep you better know how to jump, where to be when certain things happen etc. We finally pushed through it and got to the end. I didn't get any weapons though so once again bad luck on the drops I guess. When we got back to the tower and the team split up, me and MokSpeed talked for a few minutes. That's when I found out (realized) he wasn't part of the clan. He's like "yeah, saw you online and thought you were getting ready to do the Crucible so I joined in. Had no idea you all were kicking off VoG!" Ironically, if he hadn't showed up we would probably have never done it last night. Good times either way, enjoyed it even if I was the anchor on the team. I looked it up this morning, died 69 times!
