I'll take it! When does it arrive?
I did say in the Stock Taillights thread that chrome was a "go big or go home" proposal.
Don't know if this helps the OP make up their mind though.

True true, I'll stop derailing this thread now..

I wanted red until I saw it in person. It just looked kinda flat. A slightly darker metallic red like the prototype pictures would have been awesome. They had a black one on the lot, and the metalflake in the paint really looked good in direct sunlight, so I bought it.

It still looks great when it's clean, but never again will I buy another black car. I've owned it only a year and a half, and I bet I've washed it 80 times.

Ultramarine was my first choice, but I couldn't find one with a manual locally. If I had it to do over, I'd probably go with asphalt, since they no longer make Ultramarine.

They still make Ultramarine in the FRS just the Subaru version that they dropped. Was sort of silly having two blues for them anyway.

Don't think we are derailing to much at this point as there are plenty of opinions expressed.
Sort of a subjective, quasi question anyway and colour is completely based on preferences.

I am very happy I chose red. I have never had a red car nor really considered red an appealing car color to be honest..I usually lean towards just white or black. When I saw the red in person though I was sold..I am a bit OCD I like to think, and the fact that the interior has the red accents was one of the driving factors for choosing red as well. I know not everyone thinks that way..I remember reading somebody wrote "you dont paint your house outside to match your walls inside" and it kinda made sense, but for me the red exterior just makes everything come together more..makes it feel intentional. If I could match the threading and accents of the interior to what the exterior paint color was...I probably would have went with the blue or lava though.

I figure I will have mine long enough that by the time I retire it the stitching and accents will have faded enough to be a close match to lava!
Didn't even notice the red after about the 3rd day of ownership anyway.

To me there is nothing better than asphalt. Am I biased because I have one? YES! Is it a pain to make it look good? YES! But it's not too common and that's what I like. I love how it absorbs the colors around it. It looks sleek and sexy and definitely shows off the lines. You can make it look classy or mean. My favorite asphalt besides mine is @Fancy

Mine is black, when it's clean it's absolutely gorgeous and agressive! The clean part is only right after she gets washed, cause 5 minutes after driving she WILL be dirty again lol!
Doesn't take away that my favourite color is still black

What was your first choice initially, or rather - what's wrong with it? Often, the first choice we make in a situation like this is unbiased, and we do it because we simply like it; then, later down the line we start trying to rationalize, or justify which color we should get because "it's easier to keep clean", or "people notice it more", or "it gets less attention from the cops", and in doing so we complicate it, and aren't sure of what it is that we actually want.

I would just encourage you to pick the color you want for no other reason than you like it - if that color happens to be easier to keep clean, well then that is a perk, but try to make your choice based on that (I guess you could say it's the choice your inner child would make), rather than rationalizing it first, and then trying to like the color after that; if we all wanted to pick our color based on a process of elimination like that - "black is too hard to keep clean", "red will get too much negative attention", "white is too common", then we wouldn't be struggling to make a choice even though we've accepted that all of those are rationalized points.

If you like black, then who cares if it's hard to keep clean? You'll love your car, and you're willing to take care of it - so why should that be a limiting factor? If you love white, then who cares if there are a lot of white cars on the road? You're driving the car for your pleasure, and not because you feel the need to get noticed wherever you'll drive.

If that doesn't help you any, then I would try to consider how you might want to mod the car down the road - if the color is a toss up to you, but you have your heart set on a specific type of wheel, then what color will help support that the best, etc?

Personally I think it sounds like you might be leaning towards the Firestorm, but best of luck in making your decision - honestly this car is unique in that it is the only car I've felt looks fantastic in any color it comes in; all of the color choices are great in my opinion.
