Based on some of the feedback on this thread, how many would be in favor of a "Showroom Stock" class (OEM crash bolts and stock treadwear and higher), and modifying the current stock class to have less restrictions (Also renaming it)? If we want a "budget" class, stick to SS.

How come so many people are against alignment bolts?
It seems that easy, inexpensive mods should be welcome and encouraged. D |

I dont think anyone here is against bolts.....they are already free. The question is whether camber plates should take points since they provide a much greater adjustment

Im not a rules guy since @CSG Mike is doing a good job at it already - but really, any mod thats less than a few hundred bux should be as close to free as possible.
You want to onvite as many people in as possible and lot of these guys arent gonna build the car to a set of rules. They just want to race what theyve got, so if you make it too complicated and unattractve, theyre just gonna turn away. Who gives two fucks about a mod that is 1/16th of a second faster on a clear day at sea level? Focus on getting more people to sign up instead. |

I originally posted this question in the NorCal Subforum 86cup thread but it may be more appropriate here for the people crafting rules and point values.
