I know what you mean bogging 1st. Yes you can take off without bogging, or even having to (pre)rev the engine.

See, the rpm's translate into a given road speed. At 1000 rpm's, that's perhaps less than 10 mph, which is the speed you're requesting from the engine. But you're still sitting at 0 mph. You need to interpolate instead. Either try and take off at a lower rpm, fully engaging the clutch at low speed and then take off, or otherwise rev up and slip the clutch until you're going the speed you commanded from the engine/rpm's.

Well that is cool then.

Nope, disagree!
He just needs to learn to drive in a responsible manner!
And in fairness and his defense it may be his only incident like that, I doubt it but...
If there is a person on here that try's to say they didn't at least think of doing the same at least once I would call them a liar.

But when you admit to breaking the law, that's a different story.

Always go the speed limit? Signal every turn?
Do not think for one second that I support street racing but he is young and hopefully learned a little something from the comments made here.
Of course it could have the complete reverse effect and he could say "screw you" and do it even more.
And... that is all the charity I can give him now!

The sad part is that I readily admit to "ragging" on some people. Usually involves some really dumb (IMO) statement or question though. I have zero issues being called out if I do that, will take my lumps if I was wrong and don't really care what they think about me.
In this case I asked, what I thought, was a simple, innocent question that apparently was taken the wrong way and I got blasted.
Didn't want to let it go as I felt unjustly persecuted and wanted to clear things up.

Human nature, go figure eh!
