I'm working with a placement agent and need to see the places they found. I'm still working and can't get away until my last day, this Friday.

It's way easier to find housing there than around here. I grew up kinda around that area and have friends that live in the Chicagoland area.

They have like $800/month mortgage on nice houses. Lol.

Better get some snow tires for the BRZ!

The plan is to be close to work, so I'll be an hour south of Chicago. Like @tigermack said, I'm picking up a winter beater.

It'll be pretty easy to find a nice/cheap place to live.

Fuck that. Drive the BRZ in the snow! I grew up in the snow and I can tell you a BRZ with snow tires will be WAY more fun than whatever beater you're gonna get.

Interesting and sad few posts...that @G_Ride is going away. FWIW, you've been an asset to our community. If I don't get to see you again, good luck over there and god speed.

You around next Wednesday??
