well, today sucked. Yesterday I was adjusting the rear diffuser and noticed it got a bit close to the exhaust tips, almost touching it. I knew it would melt if it touched it, so I ended up removing the tips on it. Kind of hard to explain, but the j2 dual tips have the opening, and then the tips bolt on.

I left the tips off and went for a drive today, probably the first time in 2 weeks.. come back and nasty plastic smell. Well, since the tips were so recessed inside the bumper it literally melted my stock rear diffuser + new cwest rear diffuser.

Sigh. so I just took a box cutter out and cut off the diffuser part, exposing the rear crash beam, etc. looks pretty raw.

Guess it's time to think out a cool idea for a custom diffusor and exhaust

tl;dr : never let the exit of your exhaust sit recessed to your bumper / diffuser. Idk why I wasn't smart enough to think of this yesterday.
