If I didn't awe you with intelligence maybe I baffled you with bullshit.
I guess BS...my ES300 Lexus's was on the left/driver's side. Not so jdm?

I'm guessing you have to enter your credit card before the pump turns on, like most self-serve gas stations I've used in the US.

It used to be like that everywhere but these states are the only ones that made laws (with safety justifications) back the 1950s. Now changing the law would be political suicide because it has become a jobs issue. Get rid of the law and gas stations won't need to employ the attendants anymore. For this reason no politician would ever try to change the law.

I live in a town that requires full service and it's weird.

That's a little personal, isn't it? Oh wait, you're talking about the steering wheel. Never mind.

Car locks itself. Only on passenger side. This may have been covered.

Lock your car. Use the unlock button. Open the passenger door. Grab your coat /backpack or whatever. Shut the door. The door will lock itself in a few seconds.

I found out the hard way. I went to grab my jacket from the passenger side, and dropped the key on the seat while I put my jacket on. The car locked itself, and I had to use my spare key! Watch out!

logged in just to say thank you for that. My trunk hasn't been working for months and I couldn't figure out why

If you buy the carista app for $20 and an elm 327 OBDII Bluetooth dongle you can actually disable that crap along with, DRLs, the passenger seatbelt chime etc. I did it to a friends car, it works surprisingly well and is worth the $20 and doesn't void the warranty
