It was kind of funny. You basically have to keep your hand on the shifter, because seconds after up-shifting it's time to go to the next gear and before you know it you're "cruising" in 6th at 32mph. haha

Here is what's funny:
My two DD cars are the BRZ (stick) and a Passat TDI (stick).
The BRZ loves to be revved like crazy to drive comfortably.
The TDI wants you to shift before you are even at 2000 RPM.

I catch myself revving the TDI to 5K and my wife yells at me....

If I had tried to drive my Lancer GTS at the revs I do my FRS (where it WANTS to be at) I would have had engine parts everyplace all the time!
If you have never driven a CVT (continuous variable transmission) as in my wife's RVR give it a try! Freakiest feeling in the world as there are no gears or shift points. You just keep going faster and the revs hardly even move

I swear I still get looks when I drive because I have to rev up to 3-4K to get up to decent highway speed from a stop...

Drove me crazy the other day seeing the worker at the gas station do this to my car instead of putting it in the hanger.

It's illegal to pump your own gas here - biggest BS law ever, my mom had a $62 bill from Toyota once for her 4Runner because she had to get the engine checked when the maintenance light went on because the idiot at the gas station didn't tighten the cap enough.

Illegal..? So you don't have "cold" stations at all? I mean self service stations without any staff or store (only credit card payments). I think 70% of stations here are like this..

Oregon...and New Jersey

Its too Dangerous for the residents there to pump their own gas. So there are gas pumping attendants at EVERY STATION.

W. T. F.

The other 48 states live life on the edge, we can pump our own gas. Crazy, I know. What can I say, I'm a risk taker.

I'll see myself out.

Yeah, and my "new" fuel pump is cricketier than my old one. Bastards.

Also, prior to the triangle the fuel hose depicted the side of the vehicle that the filler cap was on. Or so they say...My '99 Tacoma says it's on the right side by this theorem and it's on the left. So, really you just have to remember. I have found it is predominately on the side where the driver sits of the cars origins. FR-S/BR-Z, is Japanese, right hand drive, filler cap on right side. Tacoma is not a JDM vehicle, left hand drive, therefore left side.

If I didn't awe you with intelligence maybe I baffled you with bullshit.

I think it's done more to try to create easily-accessible jobs for undocumented persons, people without a higher education, and that sort - but yeah, it's a PITA because the people that take that sort of job tend to be people that aren't respectful, or caring in particular of your property.

Lol can you imagine the white collar crime rates at "cold" stations here in the US?
