If so, then let me know and maybe we can meet up.

I'm taking an old mate there because he's got his old racing Anglia in his shed - still in pristine condition like he raced it in the 70's.
Once every 3 months or so, he fires it up and takes it for a burn on the public roads when nobody's looking.
I reckon 40 year old slicks could be quite kak today...

I want to get him going again, and I'm seriously thinking of getting into historic racing myself - it looks like great fun and quite affordable.
The racing at Zwartkops today was great, but the weather was mediocre.
Windy and cold with occasional drizzle, but not enough to actually wet the track.
I enjoyed it thoroughly anyway, and I picked up my set of Bridgestone RE-11S's which have been lying in Pretoria.
Looking forward to giving them a workout on track soon...

My 4th set of tyres - whoop-whoop!!

It's a slightly second-hand set of 225/45-17 Bridgestone RE-11S's
Can't wait to see how they handle on track.
I hope I don't bump into a cop who's intelligent enough to know they're not road legal... Unlikely

So its my first post on this forum, and i'd like to say thanks to all the guys that keep this wolf pack going strong!

So apart from approaching circles with this look on my face , another joy of owning an 86 is how damn nice the car looks, more so after a good wash!

Heres mines after a wash yesterday - Because sometimes its the little things!

Today's feel good story...
New brake pads fitted, and ready for the track again - just sad I'm not at Super Trax today.

I've had stock pads in for a few weeks, and the difference is like day and night.
Endless pads rule!!

And the cherry on top was spotting a duiker a few hundred metres from home while on my test drive.

Edit: Phew, looking at my disc rotors, they look like they're taking a bit of strain.
I sent some pics of the colour bands on my discs to Powerbrake recently.
They reckon that my rotors have seen 630°C, which is (just) OK for the fluid I'm using (650), and my MX72 pads.

Thanks everyone :-)

Their 17's, but lend themselves really well to the car, more so with the colour of the car. It is indeed a TRD exhaust.

Had an interesting run in with a Type R (Fn2) on the way home this weekend. I must say, considering that the type r is quicker than a G5 GTi, I think the 86 did justice - We were neck and neck for most of the robot to robot stretch, and that's more than i can ever ask from a car that wasn't really built to have supreme straight line speed.

I've uploaded a few more pics. Hope to see you guys soon at the next GP meetup!

This is may be abit late, but I was in DBN (@the coast) last week....

This is the first time I took my 86 down to the coast...and FTW!!!

This car is a PERFORMANCE CAR at the coast!

From the time I reached those bendy hills in KZN, I could feel an instant increase in power and a SOLID acceleration
And I took out my frustration on ALL Turbo cars. (The frustration you feel in JHB when a girl with platted hair in an audi a1's smokes you on a daily basis)

The pleasure of causing trouble, pushing GTI's, Rocco's and any other Turbo cars in my way was FREAKIN AWESOME!!!

I can clearly say with my 86(BRZ xorst, K&N dif, and Torco Race fuel) beat a stock 2014 Polo GTi on 3 fair runs.

The VW guys had excuses....(Blah blah blah)....I was not counted, but felt like they had 86 excuses of why they lost

Also got to meet up with a few KZN Owners Club members....these people are like family, the brotherhood of 86's in DBN is strong! Respect to them and their modded 86's

Thank you Durban! You f@ckn ROCK! (Now I understand why people made those "Durban Rocks" T Shirts). GT86 FTW!!!!!!

Some pics from the weekend
