Would love to see it vs a V6 swap or bolt on FI kit.

they both feel like boats, instead of test driving a mustang you can always go down to a lake and find quite a few sea bound mustangs there.... lol jk

if you want acceleration get the mustang

if you want a smile on your face every time you get in the car get the brz

ohh and dont be fooled by the 30-31 mpgs on the 3.7L mustang, my friend has one and never got anything better than 28 mpgs on straight freeway driving at normal people speeds, epa does highway at 55... no one here drives 55 on any interstate....

i bet that second and a half is tires alone...

just to put it out there, the mustang v6 isnt really any faster with cheap tires...

that 0-60 test was done with the crappy tires that come on the BASE mustang without the performance package

For sure. Pirelli PZero vs Michelin Primacy? Not even the same class of tires... I do wonder if a V6 Mustang with IRS would be faster though.

Until there's an engine revision or significant tuning occurs, the BRZ will never accelerate like an American torque monster. For some people, acceleration IS smiles. I certainly appreciate the way my ex-gf's father's '97 Cobra pushes you into the seats with just a stab at the throttle, but I've always wanted a "driver's car." This will be my foray into the lightweight, low-power sports car world of yore; hopefully you wont see my BRZ for sale next year. I definitely see some type of V8 in my future though.

with those crappy tires it shows you how bad the suspension is,

mustang(with base trim tires)
EDIT
Lateral acceleration 0.88 g (avg)
MT figure eight 26.0 sec @ 0.67 g (avg)

FRS
Lateral acceleration 0.93 g (avg)
MT figure eight 25.9 sec @ 0.67 g (avg)

So with gripper/better tires it'll do better with G Forces? Hmmm...

I meant track performance, not drag strip.

I guess you see what you want from that video. I really prefer smaller cars and the Mustangs I've driven seem large and squishy. The reviewers definitely seemed to like the BRZ better despite the Mustang having the better track time.

I wonder if the Mustang could have kept up on a tighter track. We already know it'll go faster in a straight line.
