Use the OFTxxxxxxxx ones I think the OFT guys just have not changed the names on the defs I believe they are all OFTxxxxxx defs as they were all supplied by the OFT guys from their site. They used to call them RRxxxxxxx but changed to OFTxxxxxxx to avoid confusion with the REAL romraider definitions you would get from the github site. (but looks like they forgot to change the names on some of them.

Best to confirm this with the OFT guts though. email them or call.

always use the definitions from the oft website when editing the OFT tunes and always use the definitions for your tune revision ie V2 or V1.5.

Use definitions from the OFT web site that come with the V2 tunes for editing OFT V2 tunes

If you wanted to edit a STOCK tune you pulled from your car DO NOT use the definitions from the OFT site use the ROMRAIDER definitions from the romraider site.

Again always check some known tables to see everything looks good.

Unfortunately the naming of the defs has overlapped causing a bit of confusion.

Ok so I am to use OFT_ def files in Rom Raider for OFT ROMs. I should only use the RR_ def files for a stock ROM (pulled from ECU)?

Edit: Ok I think this right because the tables look ok and I can finally see LC\FFS.

always use the defs supplied by oft guys from OFT downloads site for editing OFT tunes (their naming is unfortunately the same a RR but defs are not the same)

Always use the defs downloaded from the github site for STOCK ROMs pulled directly from a brz/86

Use the OFT defs matching the OFT tune revision

Use the matching def for calid

Always check some known tables in the tune/rom to make sure it looks ok, if it looks wrong calid/rom does not match = bricked ecu

Ok yes that was just confusing seeing the RR_ defs in the same ZIP as their ROMs, and similarly named. It suggested to me I should use the RR def with Rom Raider, and the OFT def for the tablet or something. Thanks again for the help.

Have the definitions 2.xx changed to protect the work the OFT guys have done or is it because they are now based on newer roms?

Pretty sure its because oft people are running the most up to date ROM even if they have a lower cal ID.

Hi, did a long log yesterday with most of the drive on the highway . I did manage to get a couple of good pulls and I do not (with my limited tuner knowledge) see any issues. No flkc and knock correction, ignition adv held to 25. However, I did get kncok correction adjustments while cruising the highway. At one point you will see knock correction of 1.4. I remeber @steve99 saying anything over .7 could be an issue. But i also understand their are other variables i.e. kc learned to look at to help determine if its bad kr good knock (if their is such a thing) Would you recommend I post more logs or flash back to 91 tune. Thanks

the only difference between 91/93 tunes is timing at higher rpm above about 5000 they pull about 1 degree on the 91 map. that knock on the highway will be in 2000 to 3500 area so to fix it you will need to remove about 0.7 our of the base timing B at the rpm/load points its happening. alternativly try different brand of fuel it may be better

Quick question as I never got an email back from the OFT guys.

Been using OFT for a while ago, simply got it and used the tunes that were preloaded on it (think it was 2 version before the 2.06 maps).

The maps currently on there are listed as the A01C. Recently wanted to upgrade to the 2.06 OTS maps and when i went to add the A01C Stage 2 EL 91 map its giving me errors saying its not the right type versus my stock tune. Tried a couple different types and found that it will let me put the A00C tunes on there.

Just want to make sure that I should be using that A00C tune, even though what I loaded before was just the A01C that came with the tablet preloaded and its not a bug that I can't load the new 2.06 A01C tunes on there. Thanks.

very good info. I did not know it was 1 degree of timing about 5k! thank you.

I may have to go with a custom tune here to fix this issue.

I will also try 93 from a different station

thanks
