Rexspeed wide mirrors ftw. Do yourself and get you some, and never worry about that blind spot again.

Do you have a shot of branding on the louvers? Are they subtle like the Toyota branding on the side window deflectors?

Have you noticed any change is gas mileage? I ask because of curiosity into how this affects the aerodynamics of the car.

no, i was curious about the same thing... i lost over 2mpg going to a track pipe from a stock muffler... i could see these doing something similar.

You MPG will be nearly identical, not something you would ever notice. Even with a triple blind study. It would be like adding a single horsepower to the car at 6800 RPMs, you would never know. The gain (or loss) would be negligible.

That's what happens when you make the car sound better, you want to hear it. 100% positive this was not from the muffler swap alone.

Are you saying this based on fact? What is the measured difference in cD with the louver installed?

I'm saying it based on common sense; if you purchased a coffee from Starbucks and we glued it to your roof, it would have much more of an aerodynamic impact on your car, yet your MPG would not change in any way that you would notice. Unless you are doing high speed runs on the Autobahn, you don't have to worry. Like the product? Buy it, don't fret over the minutia.

100% positive it is... rear bumper on this car is a parachute... drive a section of road with the cruise on at 70... pull the stock axleback off and do it again... watch the mpg drop... the stock muffler acts like an undertray and helps push the air past the bumper rather than into it.

This is essentially what I was asking. The channel on top of the car funnels air over the back window and the Louver gets in the way of that and removes the smoothness to the air's transition. I personally love the look of the Louvers but wouldn't want to significantly change the aero of the car.

Now, if it really has no noticeable effect on the aero (which mpg might help indicate) then I'll probly be getting these sometime in the future.

OP, these are some sweet looking pictures you took!

Next time don't quote the entire how-to, pictures and all. Pretty amateur hour.
