Just got off the phone with my dealers GM no VIN yet, I'm 1 of 1 at the dealer but ordered 3-13-2012 at 9 am.

I'm #2 of 16 at Grand Subaru in Bensenville, IL. I ordered a SSM Limited manual on 3/2. I don't have a VIN.

However, my salesperson just called to say that the #1, a SWP unknown trim automatic, just got a VIN this afternoon. ETA 5/27. They did order on 3/1.

He is hoping mine will pop up in the next few days with the same ETA. The reason lots of people have 5/27 is that, apparently, a train is scheduled to leave with a whole bunch of cars on 5/10. So, if you don't have a VIN by 5/10, I think you'll miss the first shipment.

Being 4th at a small dealership makes me think I'm not seeing my car til November. I know for a fact they aren't taking new orders as their first allocation is entirely pre-sold...now they won't reveal to me exactly what their allocation is

I checked with Evanston Subaru in Illinois. The dealer mentioned that they had "some" VIN's for those that pre ordered early. Sadly I'm still waiting. I pre ordered on 4/3. I think I'm #13.

Hi Jeff

Attached please find the the update on you BRZ. It just came through today. ETA is May 18th on this one. I'm still waiting for info on the other two.
Subaru has been known to sometimes be a little off schedule. I will in any case let you know as soon as the car is here.

Estimated Delivery is 5/28. But was told these dates are not in stone. Could come earlier or later but usually within a week of that date.
