Rofl.

The funny thing is ive seen an add on cars.com for an frs that had the title "STi AWD EVO 18K TURBO" on it...which via the pictures tended it to be more towards...a regular frs -_-

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.

Without seeing the data that they compiled the statistics with, this should be taken with a very small grain of salt...

I'm willing to bet 95% of the complaints made on the BRZ are the $#!tty@$$ head unit.

My guess is the HPFP crickets.

After looking at the NHTSA DB, the review mirror with homelink apparently falls off, tail light condensation is a thing, and some guy complained because the headrests are "extraordinarily uncomfortable."

Oh true... My mirror did call off and I have mentioned the crickets to dealer. I guess since all those were corrected one way or another I'm just constantly reminded how much the head unit sucks.

That also reminds me the popping noise in the rear deck is still there too. Oh and my driver's side window weather stripping is starting to pinch.

Just read the headrest complaint - that's a bit ridiculous. Didn't he/she bother to test drive the car before buying it? Just absurd to have such a complaint, especially since they can be turned around to accommodate a helmet.

More than likely they sit weird or have a neck abnormality...

Considering the whole article is just a sales pitch for a book I think the data is extremely dubious at best!
Would also love to know just how many of these so called "complaints" were based on cars built before mid 2014 that still suffered from first model growing pains (leaky tails, misaligned body panels, unrefined ecu flashes, etc) that have since been corrected.
