Anyone check their VON with SOA recently?

First order in at the second biggest dealership in Texas -- allocation of 17. Order was submitted on March 1st at 9:30AM CST.

I definitely wouldn't wait a few weeks. Probably worthwhile calling a couple times a week to check. Any more than that though and you are probably just torturing yourself.

No need to call SOA, guys. Just call your dealer. They have the pipeline report on cars they have ordered. I have been checking on mine daily even multiple times per day to see a change (work at a dealer). I just saw that #1 just got his VIN this morning and I'm #2 at the same dealer. No VIN for me yet as I ordered a week later. So again no need to hold for SOA. Your dealer can give you a VIN from your VON with just a mouse click. If they tell you they can't check to see if there is a VIN or not, then they are giving you BS.

I think mine's getting tired of hearing from me, haha. Is it possible that they'll have more information than the SoA phone reps will? Other than if they have other customers that got VINs.

It will be interesting to see when I get mine. I ordered relatively late (3/22) but I am #1 at my dealership. So it might be sort of telling on how the distribution of the first units is going.

SoA has said before that it doesn't matter how early your order goes into the system, just in what succession the dealer puts their orders as the first ones received from the dealer will be received first. They will then receive x cars per month, with x being their allottment divided by 7 (months May through November)

To clarify, if some enterprising dealership managed to knock out all of their allottment's orders within the first 15 minutes of the system opening, they're not going to get those cars before anyone else.

My dealer gets 12. So, we will get 1.7 per month and I'm #2. I guessing emd for June for me.

I think there's hearsay that the total amount of US bound BRZs has increased and that all preorders might receive theirs within the next couple of the months. I don't really have a source for that though and haven't had much luck digging anything up.

Dealers are looking at the same info that the SOA phone call takers are looking at.

But my dealer is very small (3 cars this year), so the big dealers will get more cars per month than they get all year. So allotment numbers #2 or #3 in Vermont may/will get cars before me. So how do they decide which ones to build and ship? That was kind of what I was wondering: what's the tiebreaker?
