If you don't pvp often the game doesn't have a chance to calculate your matchmaking as well. The more you play the more likely you are to be put up into people with similar skill level. Note that this goes out the window when you play as a group. We've noticed that if my regular fireteam groups up we're consistently put up against the top 10% of players in the game. Now, yes, one of our guys is really good. But he said he even has a harder time in games we're grouped in, rather than going it solo.

I dunno I just don't like pulse rifles, aside from maybe the Stranger's Rifle. I have the Super POX VLO (spelling?) and The Conduit (FWC weapon) and I just can't get the hang of either.

Seems like you have to land all 3 shots to the head or you're never killing anything except the recoil makes that fairly difficult. Combine that with a 18-21 shot magazine which is really only 6-7 shots and I'm left wondering why I'd use either of those guns instead of a HC or Scout which typically have 10+ shots.

Well since I haven't had anyone to play with regularly as a group I've always solo'd the PvP portion and since I don't do it very often might explain why I get stuck with guys who seem much better than me which turns into a vicious cycle cause then I don't want to play it. I noticed the other day in one of my last PvP games, all of us on the same team were around the same level (24-27), but one poor sap was level 4. He got creamed the whole game.

I agree. I tried to like the pulse rifles at the beginning as the idea of controlled shot placement seemed appealing but put into use I gave up and realized the autorifles where much more useful especially since you can fire them single shot too. Maybe with the nerf/buff things will change.

So out of curiousity, is anyone thinking of jumping ship or has already jumped ship? After reading the forums section of their APP, seems like a lot of unhappy gamers out there...

Any game goes south real quick if you jump on the hate-wagon. I tend to avoid toxic posts like that, to a certain degree ignorance is bliss.

The game is not perfect, but what game is? All I know is I'm still having fun, so much fun that I haven't even been paying attention to other new releases.

I wish there was more variety, but it seems like they're working on fixing that.
The gameplay is good but you can only do the same thing so many times.
I'll probably be playing for a while since I have the DLC though.

Beyond the perks and skill you get, your level doesn't matter. Even in Iron Banner really. I went into Iron Banner last night on a l5 Warlock and was killing 27s and 28s with white weapons.

I agree with you and maybe that's why I avoided the APP/forums for so long. There was a time I got burnt out on car forums because of all the toxicity that some exuded. With that being said, I'm still enjoying the game though the farming/repitition gets a little old at times. I know I've been almost my own worst enemy as I have had a sharp learning curve with this game. I do know I haven't been as efficient as others. This thread has been pretty much my source of info for the game outside of playing it.

What DLC do you have? I thought the first wasn't going to available until December? Or did I miss or confuse something?

People keep saying this, but how true is it? Seems like there's lots of contradictory talk when it comes to the PvP stuff. Just going from my gut, it seems like there is some sort of a disadvantage with gear/weapons. I've come up behind people and hit them a couple times and they are able to wheel about and zap me with one hit. I know my skill level is really terrible but there's been plenty of times I had multiple hits on someone only for them to smoke me with one hit. Anyway, not complaining as I am still having fun. I just really need to work more on the PvP stuff I guess, but I have a hard time getting motivated to.

Blink strike or shoulder rush from behind can potentially kill an enemy. Otherwise you're doing two or three melee hits to kill them. In the time that takes, they can spin, shotgun to the face once, and you're dead.

I got the limited edition, so it came with the dlc codes. None of the content is available yet though.
